Lesta Legend Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Zonal marking doesn’t work, not from our point of view. No Idea why we persist with it. But what we can’t change, we look tired and Vardy has been holding his groin for most of the game. Looks like a few out aren’t fully fit. 1

We are in the middle of a pandemic and the club is losing masses of money ffs.

The one we conceded today was laughably bad. A simple ball into the box with no great place and Luiz left with a free header. Very poor defending not to have anyone just guarding the middle of the box.

The foul earlier outside the box after his poor pass, then that brain dead handball. He's looking tired mentally as well as physically, like many of our players are. 7 minutes ago, volpeazzurro said: Let's get some round pegs round holes as a basic. Ricardo is not a winger, he's poor there and has been any time it's been experimented with him. He's neither the guile, pace, tricks or touch. His pace is not from an explosive burst, its from reading the game well from a deep position that he has more time in. Castagne likewise. Get back to basics and stop trying to be clever. Thomas is the problem dives in all the time lucky not to be off already, if he is not changed at half time we will be down to 10 men very soon. 1
BKLFox Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Ricardo goes LB and Sharky or Under to the right is what will happen then we have 45 minutes to play 1

Arrow fox Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Let’s be honest, we are down to the bare bones in terms of players. VR obviously not fit and we have no game changers on the bench. Compound that with BR’s decision (and it must be his instructions) to sit back at one nil instead of going for the second against a poor Arsenal defence has resulted in the situation we’re now in.

Corky Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Ricardo to left back with Albrighton on for Thomas. The bench looks very light and that's probably the best move.

Finnegan Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Just now, StanSP said: like against Villa 2nd half Villa second half is exactly the template for how we should have approached this game. Get a strong, two goal lead in a commanding first half and then conserve energy with a cruise control approach to the second. I didn't think we looked enormously fatigued in the second half against Villa, I just thought we looked like we were going through the motions.
Dan Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Look at the two benches as well. This could quite possibly get worse rather than better. We're going to have to hope Arsenal drop a clanger. We've looked incredibly laboured again and look a bit out of steam. We've got very little on the bench to turn this and Arsenal have some of their best players. Really a bit disappointed in us. I think the schedule's finally caught up with us.

We had no one in the middle of the box.
TAFFYFOX1 Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Back three of cags evans and fuchs, castange and Ricky wingbacks Youri and wilf sitting. Get barnes in as a 10 on the half turn to drive at them. Ian and Vardy up top. Attack and win 4-2

Last seasons capitulation can’t have been down to his Tactics and game plans, as he has proved on long runs that he often gets it right. His gameplan today though. As was his game plan in the europa. He gets it wrong alot too and is too stubbon to change things early. We have to get on the front foot in this game. Have to. As it stands we've gifted a pretty poor arsenal side 3 points.

AyewJoking Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Albrighton on to tighten the defence and defend the lead.
lgfualol Posted 28 February 2021 Posted 28 February 2021 Time for some Albrighton long balls that Vardy is too unfit to get onto TOTAL FOOTBALL
