FA Cup Final

It's only massively flawed if people try to cheat the system. Majority will want to genuinely know if they have Covid or not.

Yeah. That and the fact that if you transmit COVID, you can actually kill people.

Totally agree.  I was referring to the fact that the home kit in itself is flawed for reporting, and not to advocate any fan using this method, particular as we are travelling on buses and putting everyone else at risk.

It just shows what the pecking order is like in the mind of LCFC.

Either these were tickets given to club staff (and why should they take precedence over fans who follow home and away - one group already gets paid by the club to do a job, the other sustains the club and puts money in at regular opportunities) or they’ve not sold as many as they were expecting to their hospitality/corporate contacts (which shows you who the club wants to really look after).

For a normal cup final, this would be pretty poor but with only 6,250 allowed to go and after all of the recent talk about how the game is “nothing without the fans” etc. it’s even worse.

The reality is, our club is no different to the rest. They might chuck out the odd clapper or mince pie as a token gesture but don’t kid yourself that if we’d been invited to where the money was with the ESL that we wouldn’t have been straight in there.

And finally, the whole £7 refund makes zero sense when these coaches were supposedly already subsidised. Simple maths told you they probably weren’t and that this has been another barefaced lie by the club (we were likely paying for club staff to have the pleasure of a free journey to Wembley)

I hope Union FS push the club hard on this. Would love to see a full breakdown of what’s happened here, the decisions that have been taken and where there have been mistruths in what the fans have been told.

Is the £7 because the 450 tickets are now being sold and we (as in the ones who got tickets), were paying for these 450 tickets!

It just gets murkier and murkier.

450 ‘operational staff’ - who the hell are they? And why would they need tickets to actually watch the game?

And now they discover the ‘subsidised’ £45 coach price can in fact be £38.

As ever the transparency and communication has been awful.

The £7 reduction does not make any link to the extra 450 tickets part of the story. It merely says that coach arrangements have been arranged now and as a result there is a £7 refund.

People might be looking a bit too hard at this aspect of it.

Has everyone received a PCR test with the tickets - and if you book today I wonder how that is going to work?

The PCR test is what you agree to do for research purposes, it Is not required for entry.

People who buy today will still get their tickets sent by Thursday at 5pm.

225 coaches, 2 per coach? Whatever it is the "substantial" subsidy, that suddenly is £7 less, doesn't make sense.

The fact that they have now decided to refund us something makes the whole situation worse.

They'd have been better giving us all a £10 voucher to spend at Wembley for food/drink.

I think you need to look again as it is a direct link to everyone paying for the 450 coach tickets.

I would imagine the operational staff are the ones stewading the coaches etc

I cancelled my original ticket yesterday as I couldn't face the coach and got a refund.

Have now just got one of the released ones so will be driving down.

Well done to you and shows how ridiculous the situation is.
