Alrog Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 The simplistic response to my earlier contribution - of facts - to the debate confirmed why I have avoided online ‘debate’. There is clearly not a direct correlation between financial expenditure and league position - or even in the result of any particular match….the current Man U team demonstrates that! However, it is not unreasonable to suggest, surely, that when the team with the 9th highest expenditure finishes 5th, it is performing well. And to expect a club to compete closely with teams with two-and-a-half times its budget is expecting quite a lot. The key word is “expecting”. I’m always hoping we’ll beat these teams, but don’t expect it….which makes the joy when we do all the more unconfined! As I have said, we have already shown that the impossible is possible….but not, I suspect on a regular basis. 1

Absolutely a balanced response, but your last paragraph should have ended with no harm in trying on a regular basis 👍 1

We're routinely buying players at a low price that are better than the tag indicates. It's a flawed figure. Fofana is included in that total and we'd all agree he's worth much more than we paid. 1
Bozman Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 Brendon bringing Vardy on to save his job, shouldn't be any where near this game ffs..
Dames Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 64% possession today, he’ll be near on creaming in his post match comments.

Blue ROI Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 Looking forward to how this one is glossed over......
BigGibbo Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 60+% possession again. He'll take that over a result every week. He's the kind of manager to bollock the team for getting a win by ditching his game plan and acting on instinct. 1
Jattdogg Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 Bet he just slides it in and does a very slow back and forth for hours saying "shagged that for hours mate, smashed it!" 1
Devonfox1884 Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 So boring, it’s becoming a chore to watch at the minute Hopefully we’re saving all our goals and entertainment for Roma.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 Think Brendan needs a new challenge in his career plan.
Popular Post jayfox26 Posted 23 April 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 April 2022 It's not even the results that bother me that much. If we'd got 2 points from Newcastle, Everton and Villa but played really well had loads of chances and just unlucky then it's disappointing but fair enough. To get 2 points off 3 absolutely woeful teams and barely create a single decent chance in any game is just unacceptable and utterly honking! Results are one thing, being entertained is a separate thing. You can accept playing shit when you're winning and accept dropping points when you are playing well. We don't fall into either category as we are dropping points and playing some of the worst football I've ever seen 6

No excuses, we dont win something has to change. Manager, squad something cuz this cant continue.
Deeg67 Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 The only manager worse than the one who thinks he’s too good for you is the one who thinks he’s too good for you and isn’t. 2
Sir Shep Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 Just looked at the start of this thread, compared to now, chalk and cheese! Just shows how far we have regressed since the FA cup final.
honeybradger Posted 23 April 2022 Posted 23 April 2022 alright with vardy back we finally have a pretty much full squad apart from ndidi, are criticisms of his pointless, non productive tactic of passing it sideways until we concede finally valid?
