Ginger_Filbert Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 If he’s not gone by the time the embargoed quotes come out then he isn’t going, the club will know what’s been said.

Why would there have been an embargo as he said what he wanted to say last night, what was he or the club waiting to happen that it had to be held back and released the next day? Is he about to take up another position but the incumbent had not left his role, there really is no reason to hold back a conversation from a football manager unless it is a breaking story. It happens after every single game and every single press conference. Completely routine, but that’s not to say he hasn’t said something else completely bonkers. 5

Finn Claw II Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 Main signings since he took over Perez Preat Justin Fofana Castagne Under Daka Soumane Vestegard Lookman Faes we lost Mcguire Chillell Fofana Kasper Under/Lookman Justin is about the only guaranteed starter from the players brought in, how much BR is responsible for this is unclear but we’ve not got transfers right 2 1
kiwiturk Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 He has already started his groundwork blaming LCFC board and throwing his players under the bus. Brendan is aiming to keep his credibility to make sure that he will be able to coach another EPL team before everything hits the bottom. His days are numbered. 1

I think missing out on top 4 and the money that generates meant we haven't been able to recruit the quality needed to sustain challenging at the top end of table. Those we have brought in have not been able to cement for themselves a place in the starting 11.

But its too easy for him to do, as jounalists only look at the latest window. They won't go back and critique Vesty and Betrand because thats yesterdays news. 1

Also add the terrible team selections and formations and then include the tactics. How many games were we 1-0 up and he went ultra defensive expecting the team to withstand 45 mins of attacks and not expect to concede. The constant playing around the back, drilling into the players to always go negative. That’s not even mentioning the corners. Vardy at the front post flicking it into the danger area. 2

st albans fox Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 The idea that Brendan resigned and it’s embargoed until lunchtime 😂 he isn’t resigning he will likely leave by mutual consent (to protect his image)

Not to mention the addition of one of the best training grounds in Europe. To have a pop at the owners and claim you've not been backed is disgraceful. It is, and always has been, about protecting his image in the media.
splinterdream Posted 2 September 2022 Posted 2 September 2022 I wouldn’t be surprised after his comments there’ll be a meeting to try and negotiate his exit but let’s not forget the biggest problem with all these issues in BR contract, this is a massive reason we are where we are.

Lets not be stupid about this. There will be the money to sack him (fofana fee?), but the board will only do it if they have to. Only they all know what things are like, and imagine some pretty crappy conversations are taking place right now.

I wish we’d never have gotten so far into the conference league, it papered over the cracks and is wheeled out by Rodgers as a European semi final as an achievement. In reality we got knocked out of the Europa league in a group with two very poor sides. Agree, not saying it’s what I want to happen, just what I think will happen. I’ve been Rodgers out over a year now
