murphy Posted 13 February 2022 Posted 13 February 2022 This has been a horrible season and I don't hold much hope of Rodgers turning this around, but I just think that if we want to sack Rodgers then at the very least we need a plan including a better option to replace him before we waste £20m getting rid of him and potentially finding ourselves worse off. 1

I agree that the sub was stupid and he has done it too many times - even in the cup final he did it and we needed that bit of luck. 2

Yes he's made some poor decisions and yes we have a massive mentality issue. But in the long run I believe sacking him would be a HUGE mistake. For me it depends what people actually want and what would be in the long term best interests of the club. Of course I want to enjoy watching my team again and I want us to win. But I also want us to succeed in the long term and I strongly believe Rodgers is doing that right now. We've got an incredible generation of youngsters on the brink of breaking through into the first team and Rodgers is a huge part of bringing that philosophy forward behind the scenes. We've also got a major overhaul planned for the summer with at least a couple of major players leaving. I understand everyone's frustration, and believe me I share it. But sacking him now risks disrupting EVERYTHING we're trying to do. So unless we're in actual trouble of being relegated, I'm still 100% Rodgers In. And I'm not sorry. 12

Have you missed his interview, where wants to get rid of players who have been here 'too long'? You're crazy if you want Ndidi/Kasper/Vardy/Pereira etc gone.
