This is pretty cool. I thought they stopped the game for Milivojevic to change his boots but if they did stop it for Fofana to get a drink then fair fvcking play!

That is fantastic to hear

Hard fought, and as it should be we earned it. Credit to Palace, they came and made it hard and gave us a tough game. The 16 day break showed after they went ahead. I wasn’t concerned at half time, because the message would be not to panic and we came out and controlled it for the most part second half bar one moment. Two fantastic finishes, so pleased Kelechi has found the belief he’s been looking for since he arrived. There’s always been that capability in there despite people’s frustrations and he’s really stepped up in the past few months. Youri even on an off night by his standards played a key role in the opener, Evans tackle was immense, and Castagne kept going all night! A win Friday night puts us in a very strong position. St Mary’s on a Friday night, possibly raining, sounds familiar   I’d gladly take a scrappy 1-0 🦊💙

Fair play to them. That's what football is about

Respecting someone’s beliefs and allowing them to exercise that is brilliant, massive respect there

Right.... now that we have that game out of the way, I have to start thinking about how I'm going to convince the Mrs to let me watch the Southampton game on my wedding night...

Congratulations!  And remember, "banger" isn't just a goal by Kelechi ...

it's also a verb, and your first priority on the night ...

... okay, maybe your first-and-a-half priority.

That winning goal from Kelechi was Cristiano Ronaldo in his prime.

I don't know what has happened to this utterly hopeless player of 4 months ago who never earned a starting place he was that inept even against lower league opposition in cup matches when you consider we signed him in 2017 and he's done nothing until 2021.

Whatever has happened I bloody love King Kelechi 👑 😅

I think we look better with him when we’re playing with this formation than with Maddison. He slows the game down a lot and is very greedy.

Madders is great when he is flying, but we look more of a team with Perez on the pitch. Ayoze's tackling and pressing is often first class, and he is a proper pass and move player (our players know he will give the ball back), whereas Madders is more hollywood.

It's only this season that Madders gave us more than Ayoze can, and up til that point it was only Madders value as an asset that was keeping him in the team, imho. Anyway, Madders will improve his sharpness coming into these final games, so I think it was just a bad day at the office whilst getting back to his best.

Perez does have a good record againts the Saints.

A tough game tonight, physically and emotionally demanding.

Imagine it was the same for the players 🤣

Important win, the points being the priority at this stage of the season.

His potential is being realised here, just as with Vardy, Barnes, soyuncu, fofana, tielemans, mahrez etc ... we are the club to be at if you want to grow

Thank fvuk we have Kelechi.

True. But I really think it should be thank fvck we have Brendan Rodgers. He is the conductor of this amazing orchestra. It is he who has been able to put the right pieces together. A matter stroke of coaching. The players genuinely play for this guy no matter what formation or selections he makes. He was the guy brave enough to pair ihenacho with Jamie. Unheard of prior to him actually doing it and what a result. Playing 3 at the back. Crazy. But it has worked and then having the best midfield 3 in the league

He is player of the year.

I still can’t get over Kelechi’s performance tonight, he could have easily had a bucket of assists to go along with that goal. Just unreal.
