Nick Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 So, we have made a bid of 17 million and it’s been turned down with them rumoured to want 30 million. Player also rumoured to want to stay in the same league which can’t be true, so basically we offer £25 million and he’s ours?

That's the 'English' premium though.  But despite all that I don't think Gosens is a goer anyways. If we can convince him, great, but I'm doubtful. Trying really hard to think of an Italian that's come to England and actually gone on to do well. 1

There was a Leicester manager that did quite well, Claudio something or other...

I jump around like a mad thing in the transfer threads - never really have a clue which one  I’m in ….. and the comments in there certainly don’t make it obvious! 😂

Whilst you acknowledge the brainfart in name is the statement still true for Italians not making it in England as I believe more have made it here than British in Italy. Zola, Vialli, Balotelli, Di Matteo, Di Canio, Carbone, Ravenelli, Cudicini, Mancini, Jorginho, Pelle amongst others and whilst Cambiasso isn’t Italian he spent almost his entire playing career in Italy and he wasn’t of a bad standard either. 1

Ok, I should have caveated that within the last 10 years. Aside from Jorginho, which again has slipped my dullard brain, there does seem to be a recent enthusiasm for Italians to stay home. 1
Dahnsouff Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 This bloke is crackers, superb finish, even if it was ruled out.Â
StriderHiryu Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 (edited) His value would have gone up by 10m had that goal stood. Unlucky not to score! Love the attitude to get onto the end of that cross. Â Ha on my commentary, they just referred to the Tielemans FA Cup final goal because of the accidental handball! If that's not a sign to get the Goose in, then I don't know what is! Â Â Edited 19 June 2021 by StriderHiryu 1
AS78UK Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 His price was close to going up a little there with his disallowed finish on the back post

sdb Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 £30m would be money well spent. Absolute class and a player that would stop others from bottling it.

Dahnsouff Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 Maybe we want Germany to go out, give us a chance to get in Robin’s ear holeÂ
Finnegan Posted 19 June 2021 Posted 19 June 2021 (edited) This died when we finished fifth surely?  I assume there's been no credible indication we're still pursuing?  It's just Bertrand.  Edited 19 June 2021 by Finnegan 3
