Midlands are underachieving as a region. Only Yorkshire are doing worse.

Indeed. I'm happy to see us top of the list but I'd prefer to see Midlands and Yorkshire clubs doing much better. I'd be quite pleased to see Derby, Forest and Wednesday back in the PL even though I don't really like the fanbases.

The North East has entered the conversation... Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and Darlington - hard to imagine any area doing worse to be honest.

Just thought it’s worth celebrating another season as Kings of the Midlands!

In the midlands we have about 10 decent sized clubs who are all very similar in terms of size and supporter base. Whilst others have had European Cups and Fa Cups, we have often been left behind.

Fot the second season in a row we are the undisputed Kings of the Midlands.
 2020/21 below.

1. Leicester

2.Aston Villa

3. Wolves

4.WBA

5. Stoke

6. Coventry

7. Forest

8. Birmingham City

9. Derby

10. Peterborough

11. Lincoln

12. Oxford

Tbf this was about league table finish, not anything else. So for now, we are Kings of the Midlands.

Villa have 21 major honours

Forest 11

Wolves 9

West Brom 7

We’ve won 4.

Still a long way to go trophy wise.

This is why winning the FA cup is a much bigger occasion than qualifying for the CL. In 60 years time nobody will be talking about our 2021-2022 balance sheet but there’ll be discussions about trophies.

Fantastic for the history, but a big dent in financial, and maybe even attracting players in the summer, can we do both please 🤣

Rutland is Leicestershire.

It's a stand alone County it stopped being part of Leicestershire in the 90's and had been a County before the 70's

How does that list look based on only the last 40 years?!

All-time honours lists can be pretty deceptive.

If judged in recent times (the last 25 years) there aren’t many outside the ‘Big Six’ that can match our trophy haul - if we added another next Saturday I think it would be undisputed.

I mean, MK isn't in the midlands to me, but its nearer than Oxford.

Give @Aus Fox a break. All his maps of the Northern Hemisphere appear upside down so he's doing his best.
