Any highlights anywhere?

Don’t think so, Will Alves usually puts stuff on his Instagram story when he has a good game though so will keep an eye out

I can't work out how he's not in any of the England or Portugal youth squads, he's outrageous

He was called up to Portugal last year, but due to the travel restrictions had to drop out.

Wonder why the England youth haven't tried to do the same?

seems more interested in putting an opponent on his backside than showing the world an assist !

one would assume that none of the assists were notable …….

Love his natural Flair, I had wondered how suitable he was for the higher age groups but the club are throwing him in aged just 16 so there's a genuine belief he's got it all.

As soon as they let the public back in to watch the U18's I'll be there. I think it's right to keep him there with the odd U23 game as he builds his experience. Him, Cover, Popov and Pennant look promising.

He carries the ball v well for his age, given the usual physicality issues moving up the age groups …..

Yeah, not many have gone U16's when only just turned 16 up to the U23's but that's what they've done with him in the summer and now that we've about 6 ACM's in the U23's doing well he's dropped in to the U18's which is sensible. If he can play a mix of both then great. He was the 1st sub last week in the Papa John's so they are evidently wanting him to play as much football as possible.

They need to play him in a cup. Give the lad a chance, Rooney started at 17? If he’s good enough he’s old enough.

And he looks the bizz….

When are they next in action? I really want to go and watch the academy lads play.

U23's are seemingly playing on Friday nights or Monday nights, think the next game is a week on Monday. U18's are Saturday mornings at 11am or midday. I can't get an answer from the club on when the public can start watching those games again.

....Rooney started at 16 and scored against Arsenal to become the youngest scorer in the Premier before his 17th birthday!!!

Seen a few clips, he is looking good, Karamoko Dembele looked absolutely sensational at 13 and has failed to develop into the player you would expect him to be. Hope he can push on along with Covers.

Academy kid has a couple of good games so he must immediately be put in the first team.

Believe it or not the people who run the club are not morons and probably know more about football and more about the footballer than we do on here. If he's good enough, he'll get a chance when he's ready.

Will Alves, Ben nelson, Maswanhise the future is bright! We used to have players like James Pearson, Tom hopper etc to get “excited” about! Puts things in perspective doesn’t it

I think Pearson and Hopper got more excited about each other than any got excited about them to be fair

The young players you have referenced could well turn out to be a similar standard as Pearson, Hopper etc by the time they are trying to push into the first team. People get far too carried away watching kids do well against kids their own age I think.

That said, fingers crossed they are all world class and are the new “class of 92”.

England U18's playing Russia U18's at 2pm. I'd imagine Pennant and Braybrooke will be involved, they both started the game vs Norway last week.

Neither of them started the match is all I can find so far

Brad Young on the bench for England Under 20s vs Czech Republic, was also on the bench for their game the other day vs Italy
