It's a FIFA rule so don't think it's any different in this country but you might be right.

Rangers have a bit of a thing for our former youth players - surprised it has taken him this long to get picked up by a club, though he looked okay from what I saw of him last season

To sign for Nike I’d guess quite significant as clubs sponsored by Adidas so naturally the lads get Adidas boots I think unless on a deal?

Dempsey Arlott-John had a deal with Adidas. Don't know if he still does. Most of the u23s and u18s will have some sort of deal with various manufacturers I am led to believe. Depends how good their agent is I guess.

He had surgery last summer, think it's taken him several months to work his way back. Surprised he didn't get a longer contract, left footed defenders aren't exactly that well stocked at our place.

Will Alves had a deal with Adidas when he was 13 or something ridiculous like that.

Few youth lads mentioning him and a pic at rangers on insta, I think he’s signed for them

Dunno for their first team, but their U23/B Team play in the German third division, they currently have a couple of young players there on loan from other German clubs (ones whose B Teams are lower down in the pyramid). Freiburg's B Team are also in the third division and have another club's youngster on loan there, and Bayern Munich's B Team did the same before they were relegated.
