In a group chat of Spanish speaking leicester fans doubt this is true given the age but will ask

Do they also speak Italian then?

Maybe a striker is being sold or we’ve sacked off wide men and going for more up top!

I genuinely think we are going for a 4-3-1-2, with quite a roaming front line.

Vardy (interchangeable with Barnes) has always been good at drifting left and coming inside, I think Daka will do the same on the right. Maddison will be much higher up the pitch in a more traditional 10 (interchangeable with Nacho). Then two warriors in Ndidi and Soumare protecting Youri so he can do his thing.

The defence is pretty self explanatory.

No, but Lapadula is Peruvian

He's both.

We're also very obviously not signing him. What is this, 2014?

“the Peru idol scores and Leicester comes  forward for him”

Italian born with a Peruvian mother apparently! (Thank you Wikipedia 🤣). Got to be an old story or a mix up, Ranieri was looking at him after the title win!! Nowhere near what we’d be looking for now, especially after Daka. Very odd link

Rodgers hinted last season we might be in the market for two strikers.

point stands that someone from perú will know about a peruvian, just like how an englishman will know about sterling, though he was born in jamaica

Edouard on deadline day when Celtic haven’t sold him and realise he can sign abroad in jan for nothing?

Sisi  (City fan lives in Peru) is all over this on FB, it’s in the National papers in Peru, not sure if he’s a right sided winger or a central striker…

He played mostly as a striker last season and sucked.

The whole thing is stupid, the thread just needs locking. @Mark

The year we won the league he was in his mid twenties and he scored 27 goals in Serie B. He was likened to Jamie Vardy and it was suggested in 16/17 than Ranieri was interested because he was a similar sort of player and Italian. It was a tenuous link back then.

In the years since, he's proven to not be able to really stand out in Serie A managing 8, 6, 1, 11 and 8 again last year.

He's now 31, he'll turn 32 this coming season, and at a recently relegated Benevento.

His agent no doubt wants to keep him playing top flight football for the last couple years of his career and wants him away from a club that's just gone down in the same way that he jumped from Lecce when he got relegated with them. So they've reminded some idiot journalist somewhere that Leicester City were once interested.

We've just signed one of the best striking prospects in world football to add to Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho and conventional wisdom seems to be that we'll return to a 1 striker system next year.

Lapadula plays almost exclusively as a central striker and doesn't even satisfy the need for a right winger. Nor does he meet Rodgers preference for what he called "broken" players or anything else in the clubs general philosophies of a transfer, either young up and comers or an experienced free signing with rich top flight caliber.

He's a crap journeyman on the way out. Even with our inconsistent track record signing attacking players there's categorically no way we're looking at this guy. It's like linking us to Billy Sharpe ffs.

Why do you keep asking for threads to be locked when you don't like the subject content? Some fans might want to discuss this even if there might not be any truth in it.
