Ramsdale deal off -apparently per TalkSport jus now.  They cannot agree fee - usual crap with Arsenal.

They’re also struggling to sell Willock to Newcastle - which they need to do to raise funds - as Willock is apparently demanding more money than Newcastle are willing to pay him.

I thought that deal was done and dusted with Newcastle. Arsenal really are a mess.

Arsenal have indeed agreed a fee with Newcastle. It’s Willock himself who is holding out for more money.

It even seems to have died down on Arsenal Mania. All their transfer chat is about Odegaard, Ramsdale and Abraham.

Imagine having a hard on for Maddison all summer and then making do with Ramsdale and Abraham. Typical Arsenal!

So who pays the extra , Newcastle bigger salary or Arsenal a bigger severance package. My monies on Arsenal if they want rid of him.

Arsenal aren't going to end up with a number 10 at all, are they? lol

They have one, Smith-Rowe.

I like Ward, and know we need to have a decent backup, but maybe we can flog him for 30 million to them and fund the right winger we're after?

I think the idea of letting Ward go to generate funds went out the window when we let Iversen go back out on loan to Preston.

If we have to generate funds (if) then I can only see them coming from the sale of Benkovic (unlikely now given WF injury), Praet (hard to shift due to his high wages, but most likely to go imo), Choudhury (not likely to get more than £10m for him, tbh) and Ghezzal, who looks to be gone already. the biggest incentive for the club is not necessarily to generate funds for transfers net, but to balance the wage bill. Last count shown it was 115%. That needs to be reduced, rapidly.

I think it was 105%, and that's before we shifted all the deadwood last season. Also before the new shirt sponsorship deal. I don't think it will be that high right now.

Why would anyone choose Arsenal over Leicester City?

Location, and their club shop sells more trinkets than ours? That’s about all they’ve got left over us. For now at least.

he's looked great i just worry with his style of play i.e. drawing fouls that his body isn't up to the wear and tear over the course of the season.

Arsenal have missed out on several targets due to haggling over a few quid and their fans still think they will be able to agree a fee with Leicester, likely to be 70m+ cash upfront? Buendia was there original no 10 target and lost out to him to Villa as they wouldn't spend a few mill extra to get him.

The one time I don't actually believe Fabrizio.

It does seem strange unless Arsenal are playing the waiting game for Odegaards price to drop with a late bid. If there's any truth in the 50 mill + player bid for Maddison, then why wouldn't they just bid for Odegaard?

This Fab tweet has started a war between Arsenal twitter virgins stating who they believe more, Fab or AFCBell lol

What a bunch of freaks.

...I  am not sure about this statement!!!

Willock wants a bigger salary, it will have nothing to do with Arsenal. The Loyalty bonus would be a calculated or agreed fee payable by Arsenal, even if they want to get the deal over the line, the issue will still be the wage.

Should Willock be offered a five year contract at £40K per week and he was expecting to receive £60k per week, would that mean Arsenal paying the difference for five years to allow the deal to go through?

I’ve not read much into the whole Maddison to Arsenal thing, but why the f**k would anyone getting first team football and earning a decent packet at Leicester want to go to Arsenal?!
