Tielemans63 Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 We're interested in him apparently, regardless of the Maddison nonsense. Simon Stone is a decent journo, I believe.
moore_94 Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Nope, completely unneeded player. Probably just playing off the back of that rumour yesterday about him being one of the players Arsenal want to offer for Madders.
davieG Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 There's another tsle going around of arsenal offering him and another player+cash for Maddison Like most it's probably all rubbish click bait
moore_94 Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Just now, don_danbury said: another right back? surely not A right back that doesn't want to play right back and wants to play centre mid - 2 positions we don't need players in 4
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 (edited) Didn't do anything much at West Brom last season and he or arsenal didn't want him to come here last season on loan as they saw us as rivals Edited 21 July 2021 by CrispinLA in Texas

StanSP Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Definitely not. Southampton and Burnley can fight it out for him. We can do a hell of a lot better.

TonyN11 Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 This would be a great signing especially if we can get Jordan Henderson too!! 1
Foxes BC Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 I can't see any logical reasoning behind this transfer.
urban fox Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Why on earth would we want another RB when we have three of the best ones in the league already at our disposal. Especially one that wants to play CM, another position we are well covered in, even if Maddison were to leave. This is pure nonsense cooked up by desperate and deluded arsenal fans
CrispinLA in Texas Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Gabriel Martinelli, now that's a player we could have if they don't want him 1
casablancas Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 No no and no. Smith - Rowe absolutely but AMN is just not what we need and he’s certainly not gonna improve our 11 and I don’t think he’s a major squad improvement. 1
UHDrive Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Not very logical. He either wants to play as a right sided mid fielder with RP pushing further up the pitch in the RW position. We know BR doesn't fancy Praet in that right sided role so maybe that's what BR is thinking.
Tielemans63 Posted 21 July 2021 Author Posted 21 July 2021 For what it's worth, I totally agree with the majority. Doesn't offer us anything we want or need.
ARM1968 Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Ohh they’re getting desperate now. This is not the droid we’re looking for. I think it’s clear Arsenal want Madders, but I’d like us to bleed them dry even if we want to sell, and I’m not sure that we should - unless his injury is worse than feared. Arsenal have a few good and useful Players. AMN or ATM is not one of them.
crisp packet Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Was a stop gap signing / target in January. Arsenal turned us down . Am sure He would love to come to Leicester and am sure but he wouldn’t start .. not needed not necessary. NO THANKS.
kingfox Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 This is neither a right winger or Gary Cahill. So it’s a no. 2
when_you're_smiling Posted 21 July 2021 Posted 21 July 2021 Interesting reading Sam Allardyce’s comments on him about his spell at West Brom. “I think there is just one thing missing. It’s the same that he and Conor Gallagher need to work on - it’s more goals. They need to score, they need to chip in. They’re up and down, they’re box to box, they can get to the edge of the box and in the box. They can get chances but they need to try and improve their finishing if they can. “Ainsley has done the job we asked him to do, he’s played where he wanted to play, he’s made a big contribution. The one thing missing has been those goals that we ultimately needed.” Basically decent but needs to score and create more goals, which is basically what everyone was saying about Maddison a year or two ago and he did so, particularly at the start of last season. Losing Maddison and bringing him in would feel like a step back and Maddison has more potential anyway. If Maitland-Niles was that desperate to play centre midfield he went to West Brom, surely he wouldn’t want to come to us anyway given our options there.
