What do you guys use?

I have shortish hair and been using VO5 Matt Clay but used to use DAX.

Looking for something that works on wet hair but without giving a wet look.

I'm loving this at the minute but I use it on dry hair so may not be what you're looking for...

I always wondered what Ken Livingstone was up to, now that he's quit running London and accusing people of being Nazis. Very enterprising of the old lad.

I use Matt Clay (used to use Dax at school but it was a bit like solidified cooking oil) but when my barber cuts my hair he uses Muk (I think it’s the red tin) and that seems pretty good. Some big Boots might do them but you can buy it online fairly easily.

I have thick, heavy, longish hair swept back proper slick-Rick style. Think Jack Grealish just sexier and more original.

I've found that almost all products either have shit hold or make your hair look disgusting like that wet look gel you used to put on your curtains in the 90s.

I usually use a mousse when it's wet, and dry it in place, followed by a bit of Got2B Beach Matt Paste for a bit of texture (I've tried a lot of these, this is decent for the price), and a blast of Tresemme hold hairspray.

Takes about 3 hours to get ready, but I'm Worth It™

Give strong hold hair mousse + hair dryer a go, and finish with a matte clay. You won't look back.

Tigi Bed Head Matte Separation Paste

Bit pricey but lasts ages.

blacklabel do some dead good stuff. used them for a while. hit and miss though if you’ll actually get your order or a reply to an email or phone call. if you ever get your products it’s top stuff, but it’s 50/50 on if you will or not

I have long dark slightly wavy locks and prefer CYLON7 for every day use but if its a bit windy I'll normally turn to VMAX007 Super strength ...   of course for nights out clubbing I use Pv7 Lacquer quite liberally all over.   On wet and cold duvet days when I stay in and watch box sets all day I usually just smear some dog drool over the front to keep it off my face.

I go fully bald these days and enjoy it a lot. Anyone else do this? What utensil do you use to achieve a clean shaven shiny head?

Stop hijacking my thread with your anti folic rhetoric!

I use the same Muk, I have quite thick hair so it used to be a pain to find something that would keep it the way I set it but this lasts all day, is also really easy to restyle if needed, no wet look, and really easy to wash out

Only reason I started using it was also after my barber used it once about 4-5 years ago, never used anything else
