Traore is a really shit Heskey, played on the wing.

Traore is in the wrong sport …. he’d be better picking the ball up and running with it.

If Traore had his shooting boots on today we would have lost. Wolves had the better chances.

But it's all about the points and Vardys goal was a sublime bit of skill.

Think Vestergaard will patrol the defence with Cags so that bodies well.

So.ething still missing in middle  of the field, just not sure what.

Great to be back and with fellow fans though.

I wont mention the booying of the players taking the knee as I really cant be done with the negativity it always brings.

Somethings not right with the lad, it was evident last season.

Rodgers surely means he's asymptomatic? Only thing I can deduce from that.

Yeah, regrets kicking in about not being there now. Can't wait for the second dose and the chance to be at the Man City game and beyond.

Hope all those who were there enjoyed it and stayed as safe as possible.

Yeah but I can see some of the "boring" stuff Perez brings to the show.

Hes never going to score tonnes of goals but hes the sort of Robbie Savage type hustler/runner around?

Not what he was bought for I'm sure but has just sort of got on with it.

Good to start w 3 points. Especially at home, where we were awful last season (9-9). That seems to be an obvious area of opportunity, no team that went .500 at home really warrants a CL berth.

We will need to see about getting Vest bedded in properly, he looked uncertain, a liability even. Amartey seems actually quite solid defensively, just he has to work on that passing. It will come with time. I hope we stick with him to some extent, bc I think there is a Prem-level defender in there. At least as a back-up. Just the way we play out the back, he needs to level up re that passing game.

Our midfield really struggled against their press 2H, we just couldn't link play 2H, couldn't move fwd, kept passing backwards and losing possession 2H. Thought we looked very slow to react as well, there was not enough movement off the ball giving players passing options. Was a very low-energy 2H for us. Worth noting Rodgers seemed to have no tactical  answers when we were being overrun.

All that said, we are a level or two above this lot, and our class won the day. We have reached the point where we have enough talent to see off the avg Prem side even when playing sub-par football, but we need to do more next week, play a complete game, not just half of one. The big diff this season has to be the fans helping us at home. We have to be at least .700 at home, 9 home losses cannot happen again

That swing of away vs home wins will reset for most teams now fans are back in the stadium. Not sure but I think every home team won today and last night. We'll find it harder to win away.

Surprised Vestergaard played at all tbh. I can't imagine he's had any time with the team. A weeks training and creating links with the players around him in he'll progress from today. Those couple of extra days before WH will be useful.

I genuinely thought Amartey played well during the Charity Shield and the stupid part of my brain thought he'd turned a corner. Then he plays today and I realized, nah.

A wins a win. And Wolves are a solid outfit. Our next game will be a bigger test though.

He can definitely link up play and add something to the team ..  but boy his defensive capability is almost non existent ..  turns into some sort of blue coloured traffic cone …. brushed aside so easily.

Perez today was better than Barnes and Maddison. Winning the ball back led to the goal. Don’t get me wrong if there was one position I wished we recruited for this summer it would be his, but Perez today was not the issue, it was Maddison.

I'm hoping Madders' mind isnt fecked up by all the Arsenal talk and he needs any slight injury to get off the pitch?

I'm sure it's not and he will get back into the groove.
