Maybe your right, just seemed more knackered than he would usually be. Even if I'm right, that's what we have Daka and Kelechi for, so Vardy doesn't have to play every minute.

Yes,i would liked to have seen Daka play as well. Maybe Rogers thought it would get JV match fit more quickly? Doesn't seem like he thinks Daka won't be a starter in the foreseeable, since he's less concerned about getting him match fit.

Typical first match of the season - good to get the win though. We need to fit Nacho into the starting XI. Good to see Ricardo look sharp again, and I thought Harvey did well considering. Great finish from Vards :).

The result was much better than the performance - important to get the win for some momentum.

Perez struggled, vital that we bring a winger in before the window shuts. Happy for him to be in the mix for no 10 but he’s not a winger.

Maddison looked awfully off the pace. Either he’s struggling with injury or there’s something deeper going on. Did not look interested to me.

Vestergaard had a baptism of fire. Can tell he’s not up to speed but great with ball at his feet. Will be an astute signing.

Both fullbacks excellent, Wilf and Youri were great and Vardy had a stormer. Cags bailed us out of trouble more than once and Barnes showed glimpses but still lacking sharpness (as to be expected).

All in all great to get the win and we will improve as fitness grows and more players return to fitness

Just caught some highlights, that Traore miss, wow.  @The Bear does he ever have a good game?  Feel like he'd be better off on the athletics circuit tbh.

I thought he was unbelievable today our defenders couldn't get near him

Sadly my highlights reel didn't show any of his good moments, but he certainly didn't capitalise on them.  If you get away from the defence a lot but go home with no goals is it really a good game?

Good first half, exciting play out wide, Amartey error, second half struggled, change formation, Amartey error, hang on till end.

Pretty much bang on.

Sometimes I really do question what others are watching! I’ve read some reviews saying Amarty was better than Soyuncu?! Thats the biggest embarrassment of accessing a performance I’ll ever see.

Soyuncu was absolutely fantastic today and Amarty did his best to throw it away for us time and time again.

If Fofana was in for Amarty today we would be winning that game comfortably.

Vestergard looked a bit shakey which worries me because we are getting nowhere near the top 6 with Amarty as a main stay.

Wolves didn’t press high at all first half so was ok, soon as they pressed us, we **** around at the back being camped in because we can’t manoeuvre the ball well without good ball playing CBs. We’ll get absolutely ran over and pressed to the death by the big 4.

Great win but not a convincing performance by a majority of the players/system and it took a world class goal to knick it.

Saying that - Vardy, Ricardo, Tielemens and Soyuncu were fantastic. We didn’t have to use Daka so have options going forward but as predicted we are missing a top winger and also Fofana will be a huge miss.

Itll be interesting how Vestergard can play in a back 4 with Cags - that will be key to how well we do.

I agree

I’ve warmed to Dan Amartey as a bloke, but if we were up against a side today who were clinical in front of goal, our errors defensively would have seen us concede

I remain surprised at seeing Big Dan in a premiership side full of very good players. We can’t rely on him for long unfortunately. He gives the club his all every time he plays but we’ll drop points if he has to play too often.
Losing Fofana was a real bitter pill to swallow. We need to get Evans back fit and hope that Vestergaard steps up to the plate.

I like us going forward but we look like a team who will concede goals too.

You have got to be kidding me? He was awful he’s like Perez on steroids but without the odd bit of defensive work.

But rodgers put vestergaard in so dan could take care of traore.  There is a lot of trust in Dan.

The Mia performances from madders and ayoze are far more worrying

Agreed. We have a good strength in the CM position which will keep us controlling games and we have 3 strikers all capable. We’ll be in the mix should nothing terrible happens like Youri leaving. Defensive is the problem, need Big Vestergard to form a good partnership with Cags in Evans absence. Big Dan tries hard and is a decent squad option, but over the course of the season we’ll be shown up with him in the team unfortunately.
He’s alright in the air but he’s actually quite weak for a big lad and most importantly, he just hasn’t got the ball playing skills to play Brendans style and everytime he gets the ball, my hearts doing overtime and I just want him to hoof it away before he puts us in trouble.

I was just so happy to be at the game and bump into a load of people I hadn't seen in ages I have no energy to critique or complain. As much as the cup and the community shield were out of this world, a full house at the King Power was what I've dreamt of fir the last 18 months.

Very apt we win 1 nil with our talisman scoring a cracker.

We were without 5 of our best defenders and still kept a clean sheet. Just gonna enjoy this one.

Love this club.

After Liverpool's win this evening we are now languishing in eighth place with only three points from one game.  Enough's enough.  Surely time to replace Rodgers?

Positives.... we won.

Negatives... Not sure how.

That second half was as bad as we've played for quite awhile.

Perez and Maddison need to be benched next time out!... both passengers today.

Vestergaard did a great Ryan Bennett impression 😥

Seemed to remember Johnny Evans not starting that great for us when he joined. Hopefully Vestergaard will bed in and improve. It will take him a while to hook in with Cags and Dan. Evans and Wes though are badly missed to be honest.
