There are West Ham players that would be welcome enhancements to our squad.  Rice, Soucek, Antonio spring to mind.   Bowen and Benrahma would be useful.

Both squads have good players.

I suspect West Ham fans would welcome several of our players.   Pereira, Castagne or Justin, Fofana, Ndidi, Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes and Vardy for instance.

Aye, squads? There are a number of their players I like but I think the discussion was with regards to starting 11.

BR couldn’t adopt West Ham’s squad tomorrow and get them playing like the Leicester players do.

West Ham are a physical direct side who can beat anyone on their day but I’m happy with the way we’re progressing and players were trying to sign.

Bowen would be useful but Antonio would struggle playing in a team like ours against teams dropping deep. He would find himself more starved than Vards who often finds he’s hardly touched the ball.

We have plenty of good cms now so wouldn’t take anyone from that department.

I'm still annoyed we lost this fixture last season. I thought then it would seal top four if we went there and beat them and the way the table turned out I was right. Going there and putting one of the worst performances I've seen under Rodgers in such a big game pissed me off no end.

It's going to be a good game,  but see Antonio similar to Toure of Wolves last week. Strong on the Ball hard to handle and good in the Air.  though Antonio is a better finisher. Soyuncu is going to have to be at his best, And it's going to be a real test for Amartey.

If we can keep their wide players quiet and force them inside to go narrow in attack is probably our best approach.

Thomas has done nothing wrong, far from it he's been excellent, But I think Brendan might bring in Timmy for his extra experience in this one.

Our Pace up front will terrify them and now that Vardy is off the mark he'll be keen to add to it.

All in all it should be a cracking game and I just feel our greater experience might just win out.

Rice against NDiddi is a joke. Rice wouldn't get a kick of the Ball. There's no way he's in NDiddi's league.

I mean this is a bit of a throw away comment isn’t it? To say the comparison is a joke and to say he’s not in Ndidi’s league is bewildering.

Two very different midfielders with very different skill sets firstly. Combine the two and you’ve a beast of a midfielder.

One of England’s better performers at the Euros and consistently performing well in the PL. Clubs sniffing around him at the £80m plus mark. Whilst not always a great measurement, it does tell you a lot. Bossed it last week, and arguably is better at driving forward with a better eye for a pass.

We’re blessed to have Ndidi at this club as he’s one of the top performers at what he does in European football. But to dismiss Rice like you have is questionable.

Yes Rice is a decent player, but the league is full of them. Don't be deluded just because he plays for England. I do agree though he is better at driving forward than a defensive role. He gets caught out of position too often for me in a defensive role.

The question I think was who would you prefer in your team and for me It would be NDiddi all day long, He's just the best at what he does and his forward play is getting better also. Though he has a bit to go.

We have played 1 bloody game

1 PL game this season yes. Not sure what your point is?

There is a long way to go and so far we only have 1 PL game, 1 community shield game and 3 friendlies to go off. And of course last season as the squad is fairly similar. We struggled with West Ham last season and I think a draw will be a good result. People are expecting us to finish Top 4, not sure where the arrogance/complacency comes from.

Of course you have the negative ones who think we are doomed and will finish lower half. Personally I like to be realistic and not get too excited. The last two seasons are proof of why that should be. Lots to look forward to this season, 5th downwards is a reall challenge and one we should be involved in once again. Way too early to predict a PL final table. There is a good indication that the Top 4 will be strong and hard to displace but a rotten injury streak and that could change.

Nothing to do with whether or not he plays for England. To the point on the question whether I’d take him from West Ham’s team, yes I would. It wouldn’t be replacing Ndidi, as mentioned they’re two very different players.

He would compliment our midfield and give us a dimension that we were seriously lacking last season. There were too many games where we were overrun due to the physicality of of our opponents. Whilst an opinion, and I do see yours, Rice would improve us. For me, there isn’t a doubt in this. He’s better than ‘a decent player’ - that’s giving him a bit of a disservice.

This point on who would you take is extremely difficult to accurately answer. We’re two extremely different teams. Play in two extremely different styles. Just taking it on the merit of the skill of the player, there’s three or four WHU players I’d personally take that would improve our squad.

Antonio can play wide right.  He used to be a right back at Forest.  I would love him here,  Barnes, Vardy, Antonio would be a right handful!

Can't really think of another I would take to improve our XI if we ever had a fully fit team, but then it is hard to shake that blue and white bias.

Rice doesn't get in our team. He'd be behind both Youri and Wilf.

The only west ham player I'd take to put in our starting line up is someone who can play right wing.

I do agree we do lack a physical presence, but  we also lacked balance. Too much was left to Wilf to deal with as Youri is only a token tackler. Too Wilfs credit he dealt with magnificently.  I think with the signing of Soumare we have addressed that, If Brendan can find a way to fit him into the Team. We will be so much stronger. Rice strikes me as someone who is going to pay the price for the aggressive way he plays.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Rice but I still wouldn't have him in our current team and certainly not before Wilf.

Said it all along. They’re not a technically gifted, individually brilliant side. They’re a bloody good and physical team though.

Hate playing these.

Anyone got any tips on where to park tomorrow?

I'm driving down but don't mind leaving the car somewhere and jumping on the tube if that makes it easier.

I'm thinking of parking at Epping and getting the tube, or my Mrs has found a parking spot on an app about 10 minutes walk from the stadium, for 6 quid.

Cockfosters is quite a tube ride.

That must be a huge app.

Or have you just got a very small car?

I parked at Theydon Boyce (in a field, car park was pretty small if I remember) when I went to the Olympics years ago. It was pretty straight forward on the tube. A lot of their support spears to be Essex based and I’ve no idea the size of station car parks out that way.

No real help sorry!

I have an uneasy feeling about tomorrow and Saturday.

We have got to match them up physically tomorrow or I fear they will just bully us into submission.

I have a feeling Norwich are going to be up for it and we have to be totally focused for 90 minutes.
