His career has stalled here largely due to Vardy unbelievable ability to keep going, when he first joined i genuinely thought within 2/3 seasons we would be waving him off to an elite club with £60-70m in our back pocket.

In truth he has never really had a sustained run to really get going, when he does get a chance he is usually rusty and is definitely a player who needs a good consistent run of games to build any confidence and consistency.

I have no doubt if and when he moves on he will have a similar resurgence in his career as Kramaric. Classic case of right player at the wrong time.

He would probably be looked back on better for last season if Enzo had taken him out of the side during that run when he was absolutely diabolical and clearly needed dropping

I'm convinced he's the type of lad who with clear instructions and the confidence that he won't be dropped if he sticks to it,  he'll go do it for you.

Just good old fashioned man management at times to coax the best out of a player. The rest, namely finishing in Daka's case, will come once the player is fully confident

Maresca had a whole season with him, lets be honest he is gash.

Quite honestly - I was one of the biggest critics of Soumare - vowed that I never want to watch him in a Leicester shirt multiple times! - but now - I'm a bit confused and questioning my whole footballing thought process - if Soumare can come back from the "dead" then there is still plenty of hope for Daka

Amazing how some people magically become better players when they are not playing - daka is honking - nowhere near good enough - not even close

Still better then anyone else we have if Vardy can't play.

Yes he did miss loads of sitters last year but he also scored 7 and assisted 5 in 1000 minutes. He's nowhere near as bad as he is made out to be on here.

Vardy missed a load as well last season. But Vardy has a lot of credit in the bank and doesn't let those moments get to him. Daka had a very, very good goal contributions record leading up to the Leeds game and I agree with @Finnegan about how his game overall worked well with the Enzo system. Leeds game - something happened. He had perfectly good goal disallowed and then missed a bit of a howler. Then had a crisis of confidence and Enzo stuck with him. I can't remember if Canon was injured at the time but he could have just done with a few games off.

He may well play against Utd if only to give Vardy a rest.

Strangely, I think Cooper and the Coaches could help Daka as they have done with VK.

Let's just hope he's ready when he gets a chance.

In fairness, the Leeds game rattled a few players and it obviously took a bit of coming back from.

The Mavididi and Daka misses when we were still 1-0 up and hammering them will live long in the memory.

That said, everyone's already forgotten the frankly bizarre hattrick Vardy left on the pitch the game before when we lost at home to Boro.

Daka has a better ratio for both goals and assists per minute than Eduardo works hard and has pace.

He is a far better squad option, hopefully, we can send Eduardo back in January.

Eduardo has been retired for ages so no idea why you mentioned him. Especially when the table is for Edouard as well...

The argument has validity. But the absolute refusal of enzo's teams to play a quick ball occasionally made the striker role a thankless task.

I don't think the lad is anything special, just some raw material where a half decent manager should be able to make something out of.

The football we played in and around Christmas was the best we played all season and we won every week.

The problem was that he was also involved in that run in March where we lost every week.

I’d argue it wasn’t the best we played all season as we won 9 back to back including 2 x  4-1 away wins over Southampton, Blackburn and good wins at Norwich and Preston who were both 3rd and 5th at the time.

There was also a previous run of 6 in 7 wins in the first half of the season.

The run up until New Year Daka played in was 5 games against bottom half teams and Ipswich who drew resulting in 5 wins and a draw.

Daka managed just 2 assists in the last 425/1095 minutes of game time since feb 10

The stats speak for themselves, and there was a reason his was ultimately dropped.

That said, I hope he comes back and performs well rather than using Edouard and he can either push on or be sold and we get some money back.

Will definitely get shouted out of here like I was in the Soumare thread a week or so ago, but think this is the best system for Daka since he’s been here, deep line and plenty of space to run in to, think a lot of his issues have come from his complete lack of ability to carry the ball and lack of strength/physicality, hopefully that may be less of an issue with such a deep defensive line and direct balls in behind, if he ever comes good in the prem it’ll be now
