Very hard to choose, but would have to go with Santorini. It would near impossible to be stressed out there

Tell that to the Minoan civilisation.

Beautifully taken picture. Wonderful.

New Zealand is truly beautiful and the people are so warm and welcoming …. but the west coast of Canada shaded it for me.

Athens flea market is a memorable place. The first time I tried bartering. Quite good fun actually. I bought a "Rolex" for about £10.

A few weeks later the hands dropped off. lol

I bought an addidas "water resist" watch in Bali... walked back to my hotel, dived into the pool...surfaced.... watch stopped! lol

The Inyati Game Lodge, Kruger Park in South Africa. I saw things I have never seen before or since in my longish life

You and your dogging hotspots of the world, what are you like. I’ve tried to avoid such places ever since seeing Raj indulging in a disgusting act with a sock puppet in a lay-by on the A43.

Sounion Bay in Greece. Natural bay overlooked by the Temple of Poseidon. Sandy beach. Crystal clear waters. Couple of nice little taverna’s. Couldn’t really ask for more.

I’ve been to far more exotic places, but Sounion Bay is the one place I could sit and dream forever.

Cape Sounion, absolutely beautiful place. We saw a line of poetry inscribed at the temple by Lord Byron if I remember correctly. Honestly wish I was Greek, their country is stunning, wonderful food, lots of ancient ruins for history nerds like me, and a fantastic way of life. Less said about the economy the better though 🙃

A disturbingly large number of vendors of Nazi memorabilia as well, pretty interesting stuff to see, but imagine getting stopped in customs with an SS dagger 😂

Nice to see some love for Norfolk in this thread. Few counties in England have more history, few places in Europe have more medieval buildings. It's great to get lost cycling along the warren of lanes that still meander aimlessly through the countryside and feel like the place has hardly changed in 100 years.

Ciro was just an amazing assault on the senses. Mad place. I was surprised how much I fell in love with New York too. I thought it might be too touristy, but I loved it.

Favourite place in the UK though is completely different. Northumberland - like the Lake District but so much quieter.

Lot's of love for Pompeii and rightfully so. If anyone likes that kind of thing and goes to Rome check out Ostia Antica. Like Pompeii but smaller, but in some places better preserved. Really really interesting.

Previous to 2020 I'd have to say Lisbon or Iceland were my favourite places. However, the pandemic meant this summer I've spent around this country seeing places I'd have never seen, all beautiful. I've done Dartmoor/Darmouth (beautiful town), County Antrim, Anglesey & Snowdonia, the Lake District and I'm going to trek up to Glasgow and Loch Lomond in September.

I love San Sebastián and the Basque Country.

Food, beach and people are fantastic. La concha rivals Copacabana in my opinion.

Great scenery, both coastline and mountains. Bilbao a great place to fly into, if you like rocky landings. But a few too many rainy days unfortunately.

Interesting. Apart from an away game many years back in Norwich, I've never been to Norfolk. Maybe another thread needed - where would you like to visit for the first time in Britain?

Flights to Bilbao are always so cheap as well which is brilliant given what a great part of the world it is.

I find it a nice city, just right for a couple of days but can stay longer in San Sebastian.

Loch Lomond is stunning. One of my favourite areas of the country. If you like your camping there’s a car park on the eastern more remote side of the loch where you can park (for free) and you can take a tent and walk up a trail for a bit and find some stunning loch side spots to spend the night. There’s few places more beautiful and peaceful to wake up in the morning.

If you fancy a longer drive, head into the highlands towards Glen Coe. You’ll struggle to find better scenery anywhere!

Too much to choose from. But my favourites are:

City - Singapore, Tokyo, Chiang Mai

Scenery - New Zealand south island, Laos, North Thailand

Islands - Cocos Keeling Islands (was very fortunate to live here for a while), Don Det, South Thailand islands

As I said before, the Norfolk Broads are definitely one of my favourite places. We rented a canal boat there for a week and it was fantastic. From memory it was cheaper than a hotel for a family of 4 too but that may be different nowadays.
