I didn't ask for a specific date. If you're going King Power it must include all Puel home games.

You didn't specify you didn't want a specific date so I didn't realise about the specifications for this thread.

I'm guessing that Rome in 50AD wasn't great if you were a Christian, good for lions, but not so much for Christians.

We need to be a bit more general.

Cities can be nice and all for a getaway, but the best places I've been too are undoubtedly hiking in the countryside, hills, national parks and mountains.

Did a 2 week hiking tips amongst the west-coast Noweigian fjords about 15-20 years ago which was pretty special - actually got a 6-7hr bus journey from Oslo to the west coast through the mountains which was just breathtaking and the journey flew by just by watching the scenery. Also did some of the Swiss countryside around Mount Blanc a few years back.

Even in the UK & Ireland, Edinburgh, York, Bath and West Cork are all all really pretty cities and I loved them as much as the next person, but Pembrookshire, the Cliffs of Moher, the Peak District and the Cairngorms definitely live way more in the memory.

Sounds ridiculous but I just love Weymouth.

All my brilliant family holidays were there as a kid and I still feel a massive level of excitement as I approach. Just feels like home. When I'm having a shit day I often consider just driving there and sitting on the front.

Ps, I've been to Rome and I hated it 🤣.

Loved Positano though.

Arenal volcano lodge in Costa Rica. Imagine the scene - a volcano observatory converted into a eco holiday resort, with a pool facing directly towards the volcano, beautiful gardens with hummingbirds, a forest walk with loads of amazing lizards, birds etc. And then the icing on the cake - waking up in the night to the sound of a (minor) eruption and seeing the lava pouring out against the night sky. I believe the volcano is dormant now which is a shame.

if they EVER let me leave the country again..im looking into nthis ...thanks :)

Victoria Falls. Mosi Oa Tunya.

It’s a truly astonishing landmark, one that represents the true power of nature, but at the same time so peaceful. Mosi Oa Tunya means ‘the smoke that thunders’, and the roar of the water as it goes over is incredible to hear. I’ve only ever been there three times. 1998, 2006 and 2009. Did the bungee jump in 2009. Went to Victoria Falls town in Zimbabwe in 98 (watched the World Cup final there!) and Livingston in Zambia 06 and 09, mainly because of the political turmoil the other side of the border.

I joked about it when we were about so sign Daka but I absolute do plan to get a Victoria Falls tattoo soon, though I just need to find the right design.

I honestly can’t wait to go back. Like I said in the travelling thread, the ‘road’ is something I’m constantly longing for, and Vic Falls is the very first place I’d visit if I had the means.

I was there a few years ago and the volcano was inactive. Still amazing to see the vastness of it and thinking thats not a mountain, its a fvckin volcano! Costa Rica is incredible and also way ahead of its time in terms of its eco-friendly approach to life.
