He put the player at risk of injury, a clear sending off. The home player so obviously dived. I ain’t a Liverpool fan but the referee was correct tonite, fair play to him in that atmosphere and the histrionics from the home players/manager. 1

He knew it himself, as did the other players. It was an unintended consequence. I would not personally describe it as "disgraceful" - it is what it is, but the ref correctly showed the red card 2

Ten years ago it's probably a yellow but it quite rightly is a dismissal. Both the major incidents that went against Atleti were their own stupidity. Griezmann has no need at all to have his foot up there and the foul for the penalty is completely hilarious. 1
