Real Madrid have identified Leicester and Nigeria midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, 25, as a replacement for Brazil star Casemiro, 29. (Naija)

I’d be over the moon, £60m and they can have a almost definitely still injured Ndidi

Depends on who’s spending the money. Think I’d rather wait until summer with any transfers now. We desperately need a new face around, just not a Bertrand / Vestie kinda face!

Surely we have to sign another centre half that can actually play in our preferred style if Jonny’s out as benkovic and vestergaard are clearly not in favour and fofana might have set backs yet

Controversial but Spurs have told Dele Alli he can go and honestly i’d take him here. If Rodgers stays he’d be the type to get a tune out of Alli and Alli would add some needed nastiness to our team.

...all down to temperament, and Deli through out the years has had his moments!!!

No problem with his skillset but he is not the right fit for this club.

Two young Uruguayan, Italian or Argentinian centre-backs - preferably called Diego Assassino or Giuseppe Carnivoré or some such fear-inducing name.

I'd accept a Romeo Sensini if he could play centre half in all honesty.

Get Soumare and Wes on the phone to him and get the deal sorted now

Sell Ndidi for £65m and get him in, would be unreal business.

Mourinho, Nuno and Conte couldn't get a tune out of him, Dele is finished, hasn't played well for several years and you want us to be lumbered with another 'premiership ready player'. Think we learned our lesson with Vestergaard, Bertrand and Perez.

It would be a loan deal initially, so less of a risk. He's the kind of player Rodgers likes to work on - talented but not quite reached their potential yet or lost their confidence.

He's also a bit younger, and he has that edge about him which we lack, albeit KDH coming into the team has helped address this.

It was a permanent deal in January, I'd be inclined to agree with you - we have a far better record of buying players who are not proven yet. But getting Huth on loan shows that these kind of moves can work out well.

I'm well aware I'm in dreamland right now but it'd be so good to get Antony from Ajax, obviously not in Jan but the summer. He looks like the finished article already. I know he's likely to go to Chelsea, Man City or a club of that ilk, but then I didn't think we had a prayer of getting Daka in. I can but hope.

Talking of right-sided forwards, I wonder if Madueke would be amenable to joining this summer after another year at PSV, or if he'd be beyond our reach by then.

....Madueke has struggled this season, no goals or assists to his name and I believe there has been an injury as well!!!

Did he really make nearly 100 pages on here ?

.....a left field suggestion, with Karamoko Dembele recently making his way back from injury and 2 operations, and with being out of contract in the summer, is he worth a gamble as our squad option for a right sided player!!!

Scored in the first 2 games of the season. Clearly been struggling with injury as well as he barely played more 60 minutes when not missing completely through injury

What we do not want is injury prone players. A good record of availability is vital.

I'd agree, no idea if he's injury prone or not. To me that looks like PSV playing a player that's clearly not been fit enough and have caused the situation to worsen.

In no ways is this a suggestion, but just curious on peoples thoughts about.... Adama Traore.

I fully understand that his end product isnt good enough, but I also look at him as the perfect guy to come off of the bench and stretch tired teams.  He genuinely is terrifying to play against as he does glide past just about anyone, and you always worry that you will be the team that he finally shoots accurately against.

I feel like he would be ideal in a team like ours in a way.  With the large part of our goals coming from Barnes, vardy/daka/kel and madison... could we not handle him playing on the right?

Would having him mean that players have to double up, leaving vardy/daka with the space they cry out for.

Or would it be a total disaster? Im sure our fans would hate him blazing crosses out for throw-ins and missing sitters but as a team could his presence alone make us better?

No goals and no assists this season . Used to think Robbie Savage was a headless chicken but he had nothing on this guy.

I don’t like him. I find him massively overhyped tbh, the point about stretched defences is valid but other players who actually have an end product can offer that

This is a lad who has made 155 appearances and scored seven goals - it really is not good enough. I am sure that Wolves would put a ridiculous price tag on him too, I’d rather we just went all out for a player like Berardi. Nobody can convince that me Adama is the answer to our problems.

.....you really wonder why a Coach cannot improve his lack of productivity....!!!

He has an attribute which he focuses on, but that is not where he should be spending this training time concentrating on. His shooting is about technique as much as anything else and with the available technology at their disposal you would think they would sit down and microscopically and forensically  look at what is involved in his act of shooting.

There will be an inherent flaw in his technique which he has carried all his career, that he draws on in that instance, and there is obviously something such as an over rotation of his foot or opening the angle of the toes relative to his heel when making contact, and making contact of the ankle more likely than the actual side of the feet. He should be looking to eradicate what ever it is that has blighted his performance infront of goal, and I am surprised nothing appears to have been done to overcome his problem.
