He has an attribute which he focuses on, but that is not where he should be spending this training time concentrating on. His shooting is about technique as much as anything else and with the available technology at their disposal you would think they would sit down and microscopically and forensically  look at what is involved in his act of shooting.

  There will be an inherent flaw in his technique which he has carried all his career, that he draws on in that instance, and there is obviously something such as an over rotation of his foot or opening the angle of the toes relative to his heel when making contact, and making contact of the ankle more likely than the actual side of the feet. He should be looking to eradicate what ever it is that has blighted his performance infront of goal, and I am surprised nothing appears to have been done to overcome his problem. 

Its pretty mad to think he came through Barca's youth team and never learnt proper technique. But you could probably say the same about Schlupp, some players just dont have it I guess.

I feel like he would be ideal in a team like ours in a way.  With the large part of our goals coming from Barnes, vardy/daka/kel and madison... could we not handle him playing on the right? 

 

Would having him mean that players have to double up, leaving vardy/daka with the space they cry out for. 

 

Or would it be a total disaster? Im sure our fans would hate him blazing crosses out for throw-ins and missing sitters but as a team could his presence alone make us better?

...finishing can be coached, it is what a Coach should see, and seek to correct!!!

I’d go and get Lucas Digne if possible! He’s available and Rafa don’t want him. I think it’s time to sell Ricardo too.

I've quoted this on here before, but I believe Bob Mortimer summed up Traore best when he played for Middlesbrough:

 

"I watched him beat a man, then another, then another, then go back and beat the first man again, then beat another man; then he did a drag-back, and a little flick, then beat two more men and launched the ball into the car park"

Daniele Rugani on loan with a view to a permanent move?

 

CB is our problem position. Evans is a crock now unfortunately, Soyuncu is too error prone. Amartey is ok but not good enough to start in the long term, Fofana is obviously fantastic but we’ve seen how our players return like a costume of themselves. Vestergaard is wank.

Rugani is worse than all 6 of our centre backs.

This guy is the biggest fraud in the Premier League, just a pace merchant.... nothing more.

The only way we buy anybody is if Tielemans goes early but I think he will go cheaper next summer which will be to his advantage but not ours.

Liverpool have put a £15m price tag on 24-year-old English centre-back Nat Phillips. (Athletic) 


 

Could he be a potential loan with a buy option for 6 months? Young and seems to play well from what I’ve seen of him. Not the most exciting player but is apparently available.

Should have spent that 15 mill on him instead of vestergard, far better cb imo

@moore_94 any ideas how that Hoffmann has ended up at Sunderland this seasons? He played U23 for Bayern Munich and I thought even if registered at clubs in the top 5 European divisions, you had to play a certain amount of games to get a work permit here?

I think the rules are a bit weird for him as he was playing for Bayern Munichs B Team in the 3rd tier of Germany and B Team appearances has its whole own section when it comes to work permits

 

It is different from like our players just playing for our under 23s as the B Teams are still actually part of the league structure

Jesper Lindstrom is starting to tear it up for Frankfurt. I was waffling on and on about him last season at Brondby and said he was the heir to Christian Eriksen, little did we know Eriksen would nearly die a few months later.

 

Anyway, he's the real deal.

Watched the game against Mainz , he’s rapid and looks a player 

 

Wouldnt mind Niakhate from Mainz or N’dicka who can play full back or in a 3

Right wing has to be priority in Jan.

 

can see us going back in for beradi, if that doesn’t come off I wonder if we’ll go back in for pepe. Hasn’t had much of a look in at Arsenal and we were heavily linked before he went there. Could do a lot worse
