No, but when he is, he will still have more skill than than all our current players:P

Haha, fair point 😁. As long as we don't collect any more Southampton players!

Think Sane sadly, has become a bit of a problem child so a no from me. In January, won't Marhez be about 40?

Sane is actually playing really well this season. Nagelsman has put him back on track

I wouldn’t be against a cheeky bid for Donnie Van de Beek to rotate with Youri.

That's bold!

I do wonder if van de Beek is actually a top quality player, or one of those players whose stature is elevated purely because he's on Manchester United's books? It's being made out that he's being hard done by or ignored, but he still made 36 appearances last season - the return being one goal and two assists from midfield in 1,456 minutes of football. That's pretty doggo for any attack-minded central midfielder that's supposed to be pulling the strings in the way Youri does. That tells me he's either not being utilised right, or perhaps just not as good as people say he is.

The thought of taking a player their fans are crying out to be given more of a go, only to utilise him as a mere rotation option ourselves, does have me wanting it to happen though. Rustle rustle. lol

Chris Richard - the defender from Munich , straight up another gem young brave defender.  Vesterguard just not up to it .

I think we've got to give big Jan a bit more of a chance first - we spent £15m on the geezer and I'm sure there's a player in there.

We can reassess at the end of the season when we see how Fofana is after a long lay off, how fit Evans stays, whether or not Vestergaard steps up and what system we are using as well.

Vestegaard is a much better player than what we've seen so far.

He's fourth choice when Evans, Soyuncu and Fofana are all available.

Definitely too early to write him off.

My issue with him is I don't see how he can ever play in a back 4 successfully which made the signing very strange.

His experience should offset his lack of mobility, my main gripe with him is that I don't see him as a leader like Jonny, but I could be wrong, especially with his gobby national teammatre behind him :dunno:

The two that standout to me as players we could do something with who are current Prem players would be Van Der Beek and Lingard. Sadly we’d have no chance on signing either in Jan without having to pay some serious money as I’m sure United wouldn’t want to let us have anyone 😂

both have something to prove, I think both would also fit well with our lads - and would see their games only improve in a more family orientated club - and potentially could be top, top players.

Outside of that let’s punt for some random German defender in a Soyuncu style again - someone like Touringha (spelling) perhaps?

Alan St Maximann, Kalvin Phillips, Tariq Lamptey and Tarkowski please

....agree with Lamptey and Tarkowski!!!

Lamptey would be a bit pointless, we are already covered in that area and Tarkowski is probably half way through packing his bags to come down to Leicester.

I think with legs and cohesion around him that he could. He had good spells in a high-line back 4 for Southampton, and couple that with his performance vs Man City, I can't see any reason why he can't do it here consistently once he's a bit more settled.

Did he have good spells? Southampton fans seem to think he was crap for pretty much the entire time he was there.

I really can't see us signing anyone in Jan. We don't usually overspend on players and that's essentially what the Jan window is all about.

Would love to see us be proactive and complete some pre contracts as there is a LOT of good players out of contract this summer but we don't usually do that either so I doubt anything will happen.

I've a feeling a player whose contract is up next summer will join us for a cut priced fee in Jan. We will be several bodies short for 4+ weeks in Jan and Feb so we may do business more so than usual, we do look to the market of contracts expiring and see if there is an early deal to be done but often the players want to wait to earn more without the transfer fee offsetting it for them.

Could see a CDM come in especially if either or both of Mendy and Hamza get moved on in Jan. Kamara’s contract is expiring in the summer so could be a good option to rotate/ cover Wilf. Can’t see much else other than that tbh unless we go for a punt on a young attacking player maybe

Adama…… say it every close season and winter transfer window.

Genuinely think Rodgers can improve his final product. We need an option to help drive us up the field, particularly when we’re playing crap. Modest fee would get him I reckon.

......Richards does look special, I love how comfortable he is on the ball doesn't matter where he is on the pitch!!!

He keeps his passes on the ground is obviously an intelligent player who sees a pass and is brave enough go for it. The only drawback is we need someone to marshal the back line, and he is more like Fofana or JJ as opposed to Evans.

Soyuncu is obviously not comfortable with players alongside him, throwing their bodies around and making blocks in the box, a composed and positionally adept player alongside him works ideally, Soyuncu can look world class now and again and defenders flying about around him is viewed as chaos and  uncontrolled.

Sane is now back in form and paying for Bayern so no chance. When I wrote it weeks ago, he was being booed by his own fans. Mahrez is scoring braces in the champions League mate so can hardly take the piss, he's better than any of our current attackers bar Vardy.

Agree, why would either of these leave such clubs to come to Leicester anyway.
