I’ll take your Dolce Gusto and raise you Nespresso. Convenience to taste ratio is the highest for me. I’ve got aeroccino as well to froth the milk. Love it, wouldn’t be without either nowadays.

Stove top Bialetti Moka pot for me. Any blend from extract or Clifton Coffee Roasters probably my favourites at the moment. Also got a Nespresso machine for when I'm feeling really lazy. Tend to find the compatible capsules available from other roasters than Nespresso often better. Recently got some nice ones from Clifton, Illy and Cafe Direct.

Spend a fortune on coffee out at independent coffee shops as well. Wont go near chains such as Costa and Starbucks but must admit I've never minded Cafe Nero, as always seems to taste a tad stronger, more italian in style than the insipid crap you tend to get from the aforementioned.

Disappointed this thread was not called "What grinds my beans!"

I like coffee, we bought a bean to cup machine at the start of lockdown, definitely got our money's worth with us working from home for 18 months.

Since my initial post inspired the thread, I may as well get involved!

I love a good coffee and life’s too short to drink the bad stuff!

If you’re getting a bean to cup or grinding your own don’t skimp on the beans…. Any of the stuff you get off Amazon Lavazza etc. can taste really bitter…

Roasted to order is the best compromise…. I used Hasbean for years, but, there prices were getting a bit toppy

i shifted to an outfit called pebble and pine and it’s a really good product…. Love opening a fresh pouch…!

I use a very basic Beko bean to cup as it’s small and just works….  Delonghi are also good, but, don’t bother with posher models as it’s all bells and whistles - the internal brewer units are the same on all models…

link here if you’re interested in pebble and pine - gets you a a 25% dizzy (same for me too for full disclosure!)

I’m not fussy, I binned off my grinder and even my Dolce Gusto machine at the office during lockdown, as life is too short to stand around.

I now just go for Nescafé Gold Blend.

Having gone months without a Costa, or even a McDonalds, Starbucks etc, having tried them all again recently due to being more mobile, they’re not great for the price.

No, it's just a nice drink.

Why do people think too.much into stuff

It also something that I associate a lot of memories too….  Cupping a steaming cup of coffee in my hands and that fresh ground smell…. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy without fail!

I won't have a coffee machine - threw my last one out. The problem with a coffee machine lies in the fact that I make far too much, and end up gibbering. Now it's Nescafe cappuccino in a sachet with honey, tastes remarkably nice and I retain my grip on the world, such as it is
