My missus knocks up a lovely lasagne and also a Lebanese curry with chick peas and mango pulp that I can't remember the name of.

My lady makes a fabulous bouillabaisse with haddock or cod, clams, shrimp, fish stock, bay seasoning plus other odds and sods.

In the winter nothing beats her beef stew.

Love a good cottage/shepherd's pie. Not had one in far too long.

Love Shepherd’s Pie.

Make it more than most dishes but like to spice it up. Large family so 5lbs of minced lamb and after cooking onions with big squidge of garlic and tomato purée, brown mince, drain fat; then add 4 heaped teaspoons of freshly ground red chilli powder, 4 heaped teaspoons coriander, two heaped teaspoons of turmeric and three heaped teaspoons of salt. Drain again if required, then add tin chopped toms and peas and carrots. If looks dry I do add a bit of stock and then mash. Give it a go.

This is where being born in to an Indian family pays off lol

My mum can cook some amazing things. Any meat, fish or vegetarian curry pretty much, chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, lamb meatballs.

As I recall, this forum was once described in the press as a football version of Mumsnet. Can't think why.

How's the coffee thread going?

Stovies and mince and Tatties are my two fav comfort foods.

Sorry, that was just a noise. All I got there was "broken homes". And a broken home is not an excuse for evil.

The best thing about my wife's cooking is when she fetches the takeaway

Sorry? I'm not sure if you've quoted the wrong post or having a stroke...
