I think Perez was moved to the middle as our attacks break down as there is no focal point to pass to. Unfortunately it’s just put daka out of position and nacho spearing the attack which he isn’t suited to

It's clear that Napoli are quality.

We rode our luck, but we are ahead.

A few missed passes and soft giveaways as we attack, but overall, :appl::appl:

Ayoze Perez:  Play like this all the time and you'll get a statue, mate.

Don’t get why Perez, Daka and Iheanacho have switched positions. Perez and Iheanacho were playing well and Daka is always a threat behind

Rodgers got concerned that Napoli were starting to win the midfield battle with their more aggressive press.

He’s gone from the 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1.

Tactically it’s probably a smart move, but the personnel he has in those switched positions isn’t ideal.

Key is to be better with the ball second half, move it quicker. Been too sloppy and ponderous in posession.

Hope we don't play to defend the lead in 2nd half... it never ends well, especially against Italian teams. We still need to have a decent attack as their keeper looks a bit dodgy, the CB's seem ok, but Di Lorenzo is on a yellow so could be targeted.

I’d rather us try and change the game to take back control rather than to contain. I think based off experience Rodgers will change it to contain them so it could be a long half….BUT, let’s see what happens, could be interesting.

Whatever the reason, it’s made things worse for us.

Missed all but the last five as coming back from playing football, just seen the goal- great move and finish.

Seems like we've been defending a lot but they are a very good side, this would be an excellent win should we hold on.

We need KDH for Soumare, Albrighton for Perez and Vards for Daka. Playing two DM's effectively without any playmakers is suicide.

Perez been OK, which is weird. Pretty much everyone been fine, Vesti little shakey at times. Apart from the assist Barnes been pretty bad. Ndidi MOTM so no shock there

Perez been shit apart from the goal, Barnes not much better

Think that’s harsh on Barnes, he’s been our biggest threat.

Good save from Ospina prevented him from scoring and should have been played in by Kel for what would have been a serious goal scoring opportunity.

Ok, he might have badly fluffed the cross for Daka, but it was the right ball to play and crossing at full speed is no easy task.

Are we watching the same game?

What has he offered? He hasn't won the ball back, he's barely pressed and hasn't offered anything going forward
