It's a big game.

Win this one and I think we're on track as to where we would have expected.

For me we have to start Kelechi and I'd give Lookman a go to give balance to the team. Love Albrighton but he was crap at Norwich, before he scored and visibly ran out of gas against Man City.

Hope Ricki P's available too to give us a bit more going forward too.

I'm optimistic - Brighton 1 Leicester City 2

I just hope we take the sizeable positives from the Napoli game into this.

The shape and balance of the team felt the strongest this season.

Iheanacho should start, he just has more to offer wherever he is on the pitch, rather than others.

Daka did enough for me to show he can start, but Vardy remains number one.

Soumare needs a run of games, he's got some severe class in his locker and it's kind of embarrassing having other players on the pitch when he's sat chatting with Hamza.

No Evan's so, I hope it's as simple as Vestergaard + Soyuncu in the deefence :claude:.

Play like we did against Man City and at times today and we should.

Napoli are stoner in midfield than Brighton. We should have the winning of the midfield battle in this game, and hopefully Barnes (and Perez if he plays) will have gained a lot of confidence from scoring today and so we'll look more dangerous out wide.

If fit, I'd like to see Ricardo back in the starting 11.

Edit: Perez won't play. Just remembered he's still suspended.

Maradonna doesn't play for them any more.

Ndidi and Tielemans not at their best, Maddison way out of form , Potter will play on that for sure. I expect few chances and we have to take them.

If Maddison starts again it's time to worry, Rodgers persistence with him is creating a lower standard.

Agree Maddison and Perez shouldn't start. Biggest dilemma is Castagne or Pereria!?

I think it's an ideal game for us after the last two.

Brighton are nowhere near Man City or Napoli standard.

Not saying we will win but I like the fixture.

Is it just me who thinks Thomas is significantly better than Bertrand? Apart from set pieces and 'experience' i dont see what Bertrand brings over Thomas, he was all over the place defensively last night, something that we've seen happen with Thomas on occasion but at least with Thomas you can argue it's inconsistency that comes with youth. On top of that Bertrand doeant overlap as well with Barnes as Thomas does, probably because he doesnt have the pace for it, his passing was quite sloppy last night as well. As things stand i think Thomas is in our best XI over Bertrand but a lot of people seem to think otherwise.

Brendan will start Soyuncu for some reason

Perhaps because Evans is injured

We have a good depth in our squad now and need to make better use of it. I would go:

               Kasper

Ricardo Cags Vesty/Amartey Thomas

KDH Wilf Tielemans

Albrighton Vardy Lookman

Because he needs to play himself back into confidence? Because we've sod all in the way of options?

Cags is in poor form, it's true, and is prone to rashness but he's not completely shit. He got in a number of decnet blocks and challenges, and stuff he's blamed for isn't always entirely his fault. The problem is everyone has eyes on him now and sees only his faults.

Changed my mind on the team I'd start after last night:

                          Kasper

Castagne Soyuncu Vestegaard Bertrand

                           Ndidi

                    Youri    Maddison

Lookman            Vardy              Barnes

I'm guessing Ricardo isn't fit, and thought the full backs were good last night.

I want to see Youri/Maddison as "8's" again rather than Youri playing deeper with Maddison as a 10. I think this can happen more now that Vestegaard is here, as his passing through the lines can get us up the pitch quicker. Ndidi then doesn't become the pivot, and is more of a midfield sweeper.

That then means we need an attacking front 3, and whilst it isn't his natural position I'd much prefer Lookman over Albrighton on the right.

We cannot be looking to keep him out of the team, he needs to be integrated and fast.
