Mental health related - needs some time away

I for one hope he get the time and support he needs

:source:

If that's true, hope he recovers from an illness that can happen to anyone at anytime.

Probably from watching us this season.

In all seriousness, hope he gets well soon.

Yep 👍

He’s a good bloke, Owen will do fine and Piper has grown into that role. I don’t listen to the matches much but always download the podcast.

Don`t often listen to the radio Leicester commentary but after my stream kept freezing in the second half at Brighton, i put the Radio Leicester commentary on, and it was appaling, i had a better idea of what was going on with my constantly freezing stream!

Been listening tonight and it`s equally as bad!

As someone who listens occasionally when i can't get to a TV and has done since he's been doing it for nearly 15 years it's of interest yes....

It sounds like it was only a few games ago so I'm sure a lot of people who tune in occasionally are not aware he's left.

Why does that bother you? lol

Fair enough.

Could be family related or anything. I don't mind him that much, apart from the self indulgent bits, and he is good with Pipes and the Birch.

We could definitely have worse, although obviously nigel-gate was poor.

Anyone know where he’s been recently too?

Wasn’t on the pitch against Man City or Napoli

How do you actually get to listen to radio Leicester online? I live in Hampshire and it directs me to bbc .co.U.K. / sport commentaries but it wasn’t on there?

You have to listen on the LCFC website. Anything other than the FA cup isn’t licensed to be played online unless it is through the club!

I’m in Hampshire too. You can listen pre-match, post-match and previews, Monday night forum etc via the BBC Sounds app. The podcasts are from those shows. The app restricts the matchday commentaries once the game starts.

I hope he’s alright. As an aside, living outside Leicestershire, the podcasts really help me keep in touch.

Stringer I thought was OK never understood why people disliked him so much.

Didn’t mind his commentary.

Didn't like his interviews.

Isn’t he doing 5 marathons in 5 continents or something could be away for that??

You’d think they’d mention it though, if that were the case.

Posts like this always intrigue me. Maybe to some it does, which is why someone’s created a thread asking. Maybe to you it doesn’t, so no idea why you’re contributing to a thread about it. Bizarre.

Some people think as they have 59k posts that they are superior and ridicule other posters. He did the same to me in the Vestegaard transfer thread as I didn't rate him very much as a signing. Some people are just like that. I for one really enjoyed Stringer. I hope all is well and wish him all the best for the future.
