I don't think it's just about the physicality, it's more about a 2 man midfield of Ndidi and Tielemans being overrun and over burdened nearly every game. They in consequence neither create or protect therefore.

Which is fine, we need that. Youri isn’t the issue for me in that formation? I’d take Soumare out for Iheanacho and play him closer to Vardy

This is a fair point, but there's an argument for 433 being a better formation than 4231.

 

When 433 works properly, the 3 in midfield dominate the game and clean everything up and you can have wave after wave of attacks. Both fullbacks can bomb up the pitch to create overloads on both sides. When it works, you arguably create more chances than 4231 even if the midfield 3 themselves are not that creative. Liverpool are the best example of this, this season they often play Fabinho, Henderson and Keita. All good players but none of them are as finessed on the ball or as technical as players like Maddison, KDB, Bruno Fernandes, etc. But yet they are rampant in the game and they make so many chances. It's because the 3 in the middle overwhelm the opposition.

 

Whether or not we can play like that with our players remains to be seen, but if you look at the games we lost last season, many of them were because we got bullied in the centre of the park. Soumare was our priority signing to possibly fix the issue. This is a great game so see if he has or not! If it doesn't we can go back to tried and trusted 4231.

Yeah I appreciate that, I’m not saying play 442 - the promise of playing Kelechi would mean he’d have to chip in with his defensive work. 
 

Think back to Okazaki/Vardy or Nugent/Vardy and the way they played in a 4411. Not saying Kelechi has the same defensive capabilities but in a game like this there should be less defensive impetus, go and get at them. 
 

What I don’t want is to have Barnes Lookman Vardy up top and receive little service because we haven’t got anyone to break the lines behind them. Weve been fairly stagnant and defensive this season, could end up with the 3 in midfield today just playing sideways and the top 3 not receiving decent service in behind. Bare in mind Burnley will be so deep today

Hope Youri is on his game otherwise feel there could be a lack of creativity to make things happen.
