Benkovic has got to have shagged Brendan’s wife or something, either that or he can’t actually play football, because I’m better than ****ing Vestergaard.

I think you are, and I've never had the pleasure or misfortune of seeing you play

Ricardo’s omission is the big red flag for me.  If he’s about to get the Praet treatment we’re really cooked.

What makes you think he will?

Does Rodgers want to leave and get sacked, so he can get his pay off and then can walk into another job, because if he keeps serving up this caca for the next 10-15 games, then he could get his p45! Btw I'm not part of the Rodgers out brigade!

So Rodgers has just said he will use the international break to work on defensive problems 🤔

None of them will be there as they will be with their countries :giggle:

He needs to feign injuries for them and get them sleeping at Seagrave and working their butt's off on the training ground and sorting this out......

Would have taken an away draw before the game in light of our season and theirs to date. Certainly was glad to take it by the end when we reached Burnley on the scale of time wasting shithouse play. Not necessarily a criticism by the way.

However, despite the paucity of the performance, we should have seen that game out at 2 up. Not acceptable to not win after that.

The Hamza substitution for Soumare was right. Hamza did OK without the ball first half but was just shot by the time he was hooked. Maddison should have replaced Lookman or probably Barnes, who sadly can't do anything right at the moment (Vardy lucky goal pass excepted). Iheanacho was still a threat and played well deeper too. Even Tielemans could have been substituted such was his lack of influence on the whole aside from his role in the Vardy goal. The outrageous yellow card didn't help and perhaps BR should have considered that. Poor decision by him.

Defensively, Bertrand is gone at this level. The ball pinged around him like a pinball machine and he looked and was lost. Vestergaard put in some good tackles but was rooted nowhere for their equaliser. Soyuncu again lacks positional sense. Only Castagne came out with defensive credit. He was excellent especially on Zaha.

My faith in Brendan is fading. He seems to be clueless to affect a game positively now with either tactics or substitutions. Still deserves time. But is under pressure fans wise.

What the frig does he write in that pad? His Ocado shopping list?

Given the vast resources and facilities at his disposal, possibly. Still unsure myself but he's not learning lessons at all.

The sad part is, if someone offered me 25 points from the first 20 this season, as of now, I'd probably take it.

I wonder if he’s lost the team…

They don't look like they are playing for him anymore

Huh? And where were we in the league with him?

Four places below where we are with BR at the helm. Champions League vs Europa League - defeat against Sevilla compared to defeat against Legia

15 years and that was up there with the worst performances I’ve seen. Not arsed what you think to be honest mate I know what I watched 😂

You clearly don't if as you claim you were watching City 15 years ago.

That'll the "worst performance in a city shirt" since the last "worst performance ever in a city shirt"in the previous match thread.

You people are hilarious.

Rodgers sound dejected on RL. Something’s wrong here, and it doesn’t bode well.

He looked very anxious before the kick off.

You're having a laugh surely. Benkovic must be a f..cking shite cb if you think amartey should get a run out

No I’m not. Soyuncu and Vestergaard are well out of form and Amartey is probably next in line who can come in that has experience at this level yet you want to throw in Benkovic?

Behave.

Barnes, Lookman, and Tielemans were poor and you can't hold the ball if three of the midfield are poor. And that was it really. Defence was probably better than of late, but the ball kept coming back. No need for a meltdown, just a need to get some midfielders in form. Especially Tielemans. Without him playing well we're not a top six side. Simple as.

Yes and that makes sense to get rid of Rodgers?

Not for me. 5 years ago that was - living in the past?

It was against the run of play, we were being dominated, we went on to concede 2 goals, so yeah.

So Rodgers should've made substitutions at half time then. I think he was one of the few people that didn't call that.

Todays issues weren't because we started with two strikers

Palace played like we used to.

They looked energetic and up for the battle.

Our midfield was non existent and, apart from the goals, I can't remember a clear opportunity.

Barnes is the thickest footballer I’ve ever seen play for us. If he didn’t have pace he would of never made it. He can’t beat a man, put a decent ball in or got any end product. Even though he got a assist for the 2nd goal, their player misses the ball !!! Should of put his head up and rolled it to kelechi. Perez and Maddison get battered on here but Barnes gets a free pass when he’s the worst out the lot of them.

I'll take a season of consolidation, to be honest. If we keep picking enough points for now and and stay within touching distance of the top 8, I'm happy.

Sure, we're not playing good football, but equally, we're also missing three of our starting defenders (Fofana, Evans, Justin). Ndidi being out also affects us massively

After a couple of seasons - including our title-winning one - where we were lucky with injuries, we seem to have gone the other way in recent seasons. When did we last have a full squad to pick from? Sometime in early 2019-20?

In addition to injuries, Ricardo, Barnes, Soyuncu and Maddison are out of form and Vestergaard hasn't exactly convinced yet, so there's a need for socks to be pulled up outside of injuries.

We'll be ok. It's frustrating, but to call for Rodgers to go is - in my mind - ridiculous.

We seem to have turned into a poor version of Wengers latter stage Arsenal. FA cup to shout about, but too easy to bully, passing (when we can actually find another blue/green shirt) too much, but a capable threat up top. Took our goals well, but bar the first five minutes of the second half, we didn’t lay a glove on them, and gifted them total control of the game. Two poor poor goals to give away. Barnes had one of the worst games I’ve seen him play for us. Hopefully we can work on things over the break, but with the run ahead it might get worse before it gets better.

What do you mean? We have talent but it’s not being utilized properly or there are issues in the training room. Maybe both. There is no cohesion, no urgency, no sense of what anyone is supposed to be doing.

You're right, just spoke to Harry Potter and all he could offer would be to turn BR into a frog. Seems he's fcuking hopeless as well.
