Despite the way we are playing, Vardy is top Premier League scorer - what a legend

So Rodgers should've made substitutions at half time then. I think he was one of the few people that didn't call that.

Around 60 minutes I'd have thought.

It's easy for me to make that call, if I get it wrong nothing happens, nobody's going to blame me.

The "poor start" was just a continuation of the "poor finish" from last season. When do we admit this is probably going to be the norm for a bit longer yet?

Couldn't agree more. I'm afraid what we are seeing is basically the norm until

A. We sort out how to defend

B Tielemans rediscovers his form

C We start to show some resilience all over the pitch

There are so many things wrong right now that any point we get is a bonus. I just can't see us turning things round quickly. It would help if Evans could be kept fit, but, even he needs a midfield that is at least competitive in front of him. I had high hopes that Soumare would be a big influence but to date he looks short of the required standard. Who knows about Daka and Bertrand and Vestergaard really shouldn't be playing more than 10 games a season at the level we aspire to be.

January looks a long way off but I think we will need at least two new players in during the window to make a difference. The centre of midfield needs a good look at the very least.

That’s not evidence of a fitness issue, that’s pure conjecture.

Anymore than "he's being treated like Preat?"

Top 6!? I wish…lol

I know ... however its where we still need to be aiming.

We need to go on a run. We know how a run of positive results in games can drastically alter your position in the table.

Right now one win would be nice, and I get that, but we've managed to go on these kind of good runs in both the last seasons, which is the reason we stayed in the top 4 for so long, even during the second half of both seasons when we began struggling to get results.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy with the way we are playing right now, but I'm hoping we're going to see a positive response going forward, even if we have to wait for Evans to come back into the team.

Benkovic has got to have shagged Brendan’s wife or something, either that or he can’t actually play football, because I’m better than ****ing Vestergaard.

he played him every game at celtic

As things are right now, with injuries etc. European football isn’t helping.
we’ve had dreadful luck regarding being able to put out our best side consistently.
Some players are also out of form & look tired (?)

However, too many players are lacking the basic fundamentals right now, which is worrying, also some of BR’s decisions are baffling at times.

Barnes rarely gets called out on here but that was pathetic. If it was anyone else he would be ripped apart.

Spot on

Christ, there’s some hypocrisy on here

Kolo Touré - lovely man, brilliant player. But defensive co-ordinator? This defence is the LEAST Co-ordinated in years and, yet, can call on some of the best players City have ever had (Evans, Ricardo, Castagne, Soyunçu) and others (Thomas, Bertram, Amartey, Vestegaard) and, hopefully soon  Justin and Fofana. Plus youngsters.

PLEASE CO-ORDINATE KOLO - We could be the best. At the moment we're pathetic.

I don't think he knows what our best side is being honest.

Worrying that we were clearly playing for time at the end. Bringing on Albrighton for Lookman, it was obvious Rodgers had settled for 1 point.

WITH 90 secs to go we got a throw-in in their half.  Instead of going for a last-ditch winner we wasted loads of time taking it to make sure CP didn't fashion a chance themselves.  Even so, we lost the ball and gave them a last chance to go for the winner.  I felt ashamed of that mentality.

This is the real picture not the poor start to this season on its own.

Yeah, but we won the Cup, so everything in the garden is rosy.

We have so many issues there is no simple quick fix. Some lads are way out of form. But the tactics and team selections are very dubious as well. Throw into that some important injuries and you've got a real complicated mix. For a long time I've been concerned that Rogers is a flat track bully. Either steam rollers less opposition or struggles. Now we are in a situation of real adversity I'm worried whether he has the passion of guile to get us out of it.

That's what this forums all about, opinions. You're not paid Brendan's wage to make that call but he is. And in my opinion he should have made substitutions at half time
