Industrial language

"Apologies if you heard some industrial language, there. Passions are running high"

What they should say is:

"..."

When playing, after a team had just scored you’d sometimes get one of the winning team players shouting “It’s still 0-0” when defending a corner, free kick or throw-in. There was one particular chap we’d play against, I’d call him football cliche guy, who’d shout all kinds of crap. When he was giving it the “it’s 0-0” shout I’d cut him off with, “no, you’ve just scored, him there, your no 9, he got it” and break up his rhythm.

The Championship is a 'hard league to get out of'

Mate, six teams leave it every year. Derby might this year.

Not all cliches.. just bugbears I guess..

- 'at the end of the day'/'obviously'

- 'good quality' - looking at you Puel

- 'just like his dad Peter' etc.. you know the rest

- Bubbles (the soapy spheres used at West Ham, not the WH supporting Big Brother twat)

- Bubbles (the Big Brother Twat, not the soapy spheres)

- Southampton's ONE song that they sing over and over.. drives me mad, it's a proper PsyOp

- Stoke fans going on about rory delap long throw on FIFA even unto this day

- online fans who use "Rant over" to end their drivel posts, as though to add more weight to their worthless missives. It's cooked, it's done, it's finished. Just stop it, it's cringeworthy. Rant over.

There’s quite a few on here who post in only two ‘languages’

1) tired, meaningless, football cliches

2) aloof, patronising drivel with a thread of hatred running through it.

I prefer the cliches personally. I’m a decent human though and you should never judge others by your own standards.

Almost every cliché mentioned on this thread now.

Surprised to have not seen "he's hit that too well".

I think you’ve read the thread too well - check the third page

“It’s a results business” is definitely the stupidest one. Every business is a results business.
