This all just feels very Puel. I think his spark at Leicester has gone. He's totally retreated into a quite defensive manager. Rodgers of two years ago goes out to win that game. That Amartey for Barnes sub was unbelievably negative - I'd expect that at Anfield not ****ing Leeds.

Game just sums up our season really. A bit of quality bails us out to a degree but there's little positive to really say.

....the referee today had previously issued 21 yellows this season and chooses today to go "celibate", as @NewBee would say, just our luck!!!

The red today had absolutely no idea where he was, what he was doing or what was going on.

Can someone explain to me why the ref didn't do anything about that foul on vardy first half and instead ruled it offside

It wasnt a penalty anyway (fouled outside box), and VAR is not supposed to be for free kicks, so to avoid a mess I think they just decided to not overrule the offside.

Barnes was injured, got a knock - had to change the shape or play someone like Maddison on the wing.

At the time I thought we are going ultras defensive here and then we chose to go man marking 3-3 with Cags on Rapinha!

To be fair it really wasn't our best performance but I wouldn't say it was our worst. Pretty much sums up what this season is going to be. Mediocre.

Not really sure why the squad aren't performing to their capability but I just can't see it changing this season. Too many out of form players not clicking together. Frustrating Rodgers doesn't seem to be using his experience to sort it out.

This is a quote from a Leeds fan in the Guardian comments section:

"

It feels like a fever has broken.

That is the Leeds we’ve been waiting to see all season.

Forshaw was immense. Like two players all over the middle of the park.

Lots of endeavor, with the game played mostly in Leicester’s half. Didn’t even see Vardy.

Great work across the team."

So that's the best they've played all season. Happy with a point.

Its Leeds United who’re fighting relegation though, not Man City. Our wage bill/budget must be triple what Leeds has. We should be winning these sort of games comfortably

Given Leeds’ performances against some of the big teams, the budget/wage bill argument is a very basic way of avoiding the complexities of football

Hang on a minute though, he might be on to something. Let's not bother playing any of the games and instead just give 3 points to whichever club has the highest wage bill.

It really isn’t working on the pitch.  Not sure what Brendan is trying to do but we are a shadow of what we should be capable of. What the eff is happening on the training ground? Brendan is getting increasingly deluded and it’s the same mantra from him every time after the match.

Leeds United barring Kalvin Phillips and Raphinia are a very average side.. lets be honest

I wonder if we are so bad lately because the team suspect the manager has one door out the door.

Doubt it, he's publicly turned down Spurs and Newcastle and reiterated time and time again how much he loves it here. However there's 3 1st team players not overly enamoured about signing new contracts that suggest maybe there's a growing contingent who think it's time for a new challenge. This is why Rodgers effectiveness is wearing off, we need an overhaul.

But if it wasn't a penalty, it was a red card. Should have intervened. Rubbish again today as per

Or they could just think they could do better, financially or otherwise, at a bigger club. None of these players are bursting to play for Aston Villa or Southampton. The likes of Madison and Tielemans would probably think they should be at City or Liverpool or PSG

Didn’t play great and should of won as wrong frame looked at for lookman goal. Scabbing 3 points today would make it all look a lot rosier. Finish the season how we started the last 2 and it will still be another great season!
