I actually think at times we played some really good football. We played out of trouble, one, two touch football. Our problem is in the last third and consistency. Missed passes, no real clinical edge, no real service into danger areas... And that good football comes in patches. There feels like a disconnect and balance issue. If Tilly doesn't dictate play (and he often doesn't) with no Mads then we become a bit aimless.

We've had/have injury issues and mid-week European games which messes with team selection and confidence so there are excuses to some of this. Nacho and Daka should play more as a pair imo. Vardy is a legend but maybe coming on as an impact sub will be more effective. Tilly needs to get his head straight. I'm not convinced at the moment the teams his ambition is eyeing up consider him good or consistent enough. I'm much more concerned about losing Ndidi to the likes of ManU than Tilly to Liverpool.

And what's with scoring minutes after the opposition has scored. It's this weird thing we do. Why can't we take that urgency and repeat it even when the opposition hasn't scored?

I'd  be dropping Soumare tbh. Gives away the free kick and continues to be ineffective in the midfield.

We just can't keep a clean sheet. Midtable here we come.

Ndidi had a 70% pass success rate. Tielemans 65% and Vards 53%.

Ill let Ndidi off because of his hard work and he plays DM although it should be higher than that considering he doesn’t tend to make difficult passes too often.

The stats for Tielemans and Vardy is shocking. No wonder we were constantly under the cosh, whenever we tried to go forward it broke down and it came straight back.

I want to see Nacho in Vardys role in this formation now please BR.

Midtable!..

Think you're being over optimistic.

I didn’t think we were that bad, but the passing was certainly poor.

We should keep faith with a back four. Also it was encouraging to see us ditch passing out from the back in the 1st half.

The real problem is the defence. It’s just a shambles and we look vulnerable every time a cross comes into the box.

I’m a big fan of Soyuncu but he has been abysmal so far this season, it has to be said.

Must have watched a totally different game to about 75 per cent of the posters on here and I happened to be there.  Leeds were all bloody huff n puff and we were the only team that actually tried to play football.  Truth be told Tielemans had a mare.  His passing was woeful.  Apart from Leeds goal, how many saves did Schmeichel have to make?  None, diddly squat.

Without prejudice to the rest of your post, Kasper made 2 fantastic saves in the first half to keep us n it (before their goal).

I also thought we were fine today. Clearly confidence short but showed far more hard work than we had done in the last two games put together. Really keep getting unfortunate on the margins

It’s quite astonishing how Kalvin Phillips didn’t get booked today, but my god, he isn’t afraid to get stuck in,

....the referee today had previously issued 21 yellows this season and chooses today to go "celibate", as @NewBee would say, just our luck!!!

Said before the game I was worried that we had to put out a very strong starting 11 on Thursday which is far from ideal before playing these.

We are a long way off it.

Ndidi man of the match for me how many times did he get his head onto a corner and cleared I am pleased he is back.  Barnes took his goal well, but I think got hooked because second half he wasnt tracking back.

Again, marginal bloody var decision with Lookmans offside again from a corner.  Lady luck seems to have deserted us this season, Brighton away and now today.  A point at Brighton and three today we would be on 18 points still fine margins.

One last point Leeds fans.  What a bunch of nasty self entitled nobodies.  Singing Champions 2nd half in unison, Champions of what exactly?  Absolute clowns

the lot of them.

I agree in general with this although Tielemans didn’t need singled out, they was all poor in passing stats only 2 starters was 80% or above and that was Barnes and Lookman, think Ndidi and Soumare could become a good partnership in midfield

first VAR call on the Vardy foul absolutely baffled me surely it was easily one of the best examples of clear and obvious

the offside var call I found strange as well, I was watching on an American stream and they showed their own freeze frame and he looked clearly onside, when the official offside lines was shown it seemed that the ball had already left Vardy’s head and wasn’t at point of contact but like you said fine margin calls we have before seem to be against us now

I thought it was a decent point today. I didn’t find our performance out of step with the season, not that this justifies it in any way.

I’m lost for what the specific answer to our problems is and I worry Rogers is too, but I don’t think he should go just yet. Not bringing Nacho or Daka on was disappointing. KDH had a decent cameo.

The optimist in me thinks we’ll shoot up the table with wins over Watford, Southampton, Villa and Newcastle :D

When Rodgers goes, it won’t be because we’ve sacked him.

This is a quote from a Leeds fan in the Guardian comments section:

"

It feels like a fever has broken.

That is the Leeds we’ve been waiting to see all season.

Forshaw was immense. Like two players all over the middle of the park.

Lots of endeavor, with the game played mostly in Leicester’s half. Didn’t even see Vardy.

Great work across the team."

So that's the best they've played all season. Happy with a point.

And they still couldn’t put us away. I’d be worried if I was them.

Philips and Harrison both playing isn’t something they’ve been able to rely on aswell

Well. This is a bit too common for my liking. Too many teams we have played, their fans trot out ‘turning a corner’, ‘best we’ve player’, ‘finally woken up’ .

Is this bad luck, or as is more likely, something we are doing have done is causing this? I am unable to see past it all being related to our damaged defence personally but perhaps others have other suggestions?

Alternative view, they played well because we are shit.

To be fair I thought both side were pretty poor.

Like two drunks fighting over the last chip.

It was meant against the context of fans suggesting we need to act - appreciate he might go elsewhere.

So you think both sides were about the same? 50-50 in most things? Could I borrow those blue tinted specs sometime please?

It doesn’t matter, at some point people will realise football is about putting the ball in the back of the net, not possession or any other stats.

At the end of the day, we were able to put the ball in the net once, they were able to put the ball on the net once.
If you can’t outscore the opposition, you don’t deserve to win.
