why?

....Nacho is very much an option, tied into a formation that the manager is not looking to implement anytime soon!!!

We are not going to be looking too much at a back three, and we will be playing with just one upfront. Shocked when he signed a new contract, but if he is happy with his potential game time throughout the season, then it is good money, and sets him up well for when he hangs up his boots.

With Vardy spending less and less time playing I hope we'd find something.

I think Daka is seen by the club as Vardy long term replacement.

He's probably Nacho replacement.

I could see that, reason being is he can play wide and therefore fits in to our preferred formation. He also can play in a front 2, so in that sense he's even more versatile than Iheanacho.

Kelechi is a fantastic and unique player. I love him and wish there was a way he played regularly here but it requires more change to our personnel and style to do so. Cashing in whilst his reputation is high must be a consideration. He's a goalscorer and we'd get £30-40m for him IMO.

Because I don't think he fits in here annoyingly. His stock has risen considerably and we got him to sign a new contract but I think his slow return back to being a bit part player is going to beg the question for player and club that it's time to cash in.

I guess. I can imagine it. But he loves the club, is good friends with Ndidi, is great for the team and is a great goal scorer when used properly. I’d rather we change things in an attempt to accommodate than risk a transfer.

Played left of a front 3 for some games for liepzig and… Salzburg was his previous team?

Yeah, at Salzburg they've played 4-3-1-2 for years and he played as part of the front 2 with Minamino as the " 1 " but at Leipzig it didn't work out for him. I know he can play as a winger/wide forward which is what would make him more suitable for our system than a striker who can only play up front on their own or as a two.

We know the owners want to sign Asian players, this is plausable.

I would hope not. The owners want to sign Asian players because what? because they are Asian? that would be racism. Imagine a club saying they only want to sign European players?

Other than why shouldn't they, expanding our transfer pool is no bad thing as it provides more choice. The club has to pay for that expansion and so they're likely say they want more Asian players. The other thing (and the MAIN THING) is that the Asian market is HUGE. Having players in the squad attracts that market. As we saw with Shinji.

I can't stand the whole "saying they only want to sign European players" part because that's NOT what they said. Nobody said "only" and I find it questionable when somebody starts reading that into it and imagining words that weren't meant.

Because we struggle to find a system that we can fit Kelechi in that also suits the rest of the side.

There's a difference between struggle, awkwardness and stubbornness. He could fit in nicely in a number of systems but Rodgers doesn't want to.

Why shouldn't they? of course they should. Same as they should sign anyone from anywhere in the world who is good enough. But when you start stipulating a certain ethnic background it becomes racist. are you saying they should recruit Asian players merely because it boost our overseas revenue instead of ability ?  If they did not say it why are you quoting them as having said so? By the way Shinji was there on ability alone and nothing to do with his Japanese authenticity ( which is not Asian )

With a stronger - full strength defence I believe two up front in Vardy  or Daka  with Iheanacho is the most potent system .

So would a lanky target man, but I doubt he wants that either …

....we cannot change the way we play or wish to play, just to accommodate Nacho!!!

No, that's not racist. Like saying we need to hire more women for a company that's only ever hired men isn't sexist. If there's a pool of players that we're not tapping into it makes sense to think about exploring that pool. Defining the pool isn't racist.

Yeah, if it makes our club more financially competitive, then yes they should definitely tap into that market. And can I point out you're now moving goalposts and suggesting they'll hire players with less ability. Do you feel an Asian player will have less ability? Let alone one we'd hire? No. So why is that even an issue? You keep implying they're not going to hire on ability. AGAIN something YOU are projecting into this situation. My question, like the one in my previous post, is why?
