What are people on about?

Betrand has played very well

 

And if it's them catching us out

They turn the ball very fast 

 

And I think the instructions today has been for both fullbacks to push forward

Betrand has never been this forward for us in all his games here

Brendan might need to address that during halftime

What worries me is the introduction of Mertens against our defence. He has the ability to totally change a game and give a lift to every other player in the squad. 

 

Important we get ahead before that moment if possible...

This is decent so far, better than I expected. We're still very much in it, just have to stop letting in goals and hopefully we can bang them on the counter. They are weakened and it shows. Lozano knocking himself out by falling onto Wilf's knee is very much welcomed. Hope we'll take advantage of it in the second half

Very well? I’m not bashing him but not sure anyone has played “very well”

Bertrand and Youri have both made mistakes in the lead up to the goals but they haven't played for weeks so some slack is needed apart from playing them onside he has been ok

 Bertrand was caught out doing exactly the same against Spartak
