We need to be careful that we don’t turn into West Ham of a few seasons ago. Massive expectations at the start of the season and in relegation battles by the end.

First season back in Premier League after bouncing straight back after relegation.

Most of the current stars have moved on but we have another youthful set of talent about to take on the Premier League.

Pretty much as we are, I'd hope we've got the infrastructure to never be in serious danger of relegation but you never know. We are in the next bracket of clubs behind the rich clubs. Some years we will get it right and sometimes we won't. It's going to take something special to maintain top challenges.

If we allow Rodgers to remain and spend money on more of HIS players to try and fulfil HIS philosophy, then I fear relegation or languishing at the bottom of the table because the scales will have fallen from Top's eyes, Rodgers will have been sacked. However, his legacy will be a burgeoning squad of inadequate players who will have to be jettisoned over a long period of time. Any decent players worth any money will have long gone.

We'll be in the Championship.

This is not a “bad spell”, it’s 9-10 months of us getting the results of a lower-mid-table side and performing like a bottom 6 side.

The squad is comparable with any outside the top 3 and Man United.

The biggest criticism I can throw at Rodgers is that the team does not show any discernible sign of having been coached when we’re out of possession. That would be unacceptable at any level of the professional game.

People talk about set pieces and we are hilariously bad at them, but the number of times we get caught out by pretty simple attacking moves is staggering. This has always been something of a problem for us when the opposition counter attacks but now it’s happening with any sort of quick passing, our shape totally falls apart and before you know it the opposition have a 3 on 2 against our centre backs. Contrast that with our own infuriating insistence on letting the opposition settle into a defensive shape and you wonder whether Rodgers is even seeing these issues or thinks they’re a problem.

A side without a Vardy is a scary prospect. It'll be lots of goals one end and not a lot the other which will take a managerial genius to prevent. We could become like Nottingham Forrest without the European glory.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we are under new ownership in 5 years time, to take the club to the next level.

I would, I'd imagine the emotional ties are too strong .With the way his Father died .

Never know though if King Power simply can't afford it the his hand might be forced

Unless the rot stops - and soon. We could be playing in the Championship, in a 42.000 seater refurbished stadium, with major debts practising defending set-pieces at the most advanced training centre in the world........

The reason I'm so stressed this season is because, the way we're going (we're going to lose so many players over summer), we could easily be in the championship in 5 years time leading to administration cause we can't pay for our training ground...the prospect is heart breaking 💔 😢

Our owners are far too business savvy to let that happen.

I laugh at the prospect of Newcastle having trillions to spend and having to start by preparing for a relegation dogfight.....

ThenI think- oh wait....

We will be one hell of a proposition for someone with deep pockets.

A brand known and liked worldwide thanks to 2015/16 and the FA Cup victory, a top class training facility and a good stadium complex with further expansion potential and a fan population that will only continue to grow thanks to the success we’ve had which means way more kids in Leicester are LCFC fans than there would have been 10/15/20 years ago.

The harsh reality is that, unless King Power want to put the hand in their pockets and invest more, or find other investors to join, they’ve probably taken the club as far as they can in terms of success and achievement.

League 1.

Just so we have a fresh generation of fans to continually remind people every second "we were in League one 5 years ago" should we have any success in the future.
