it has the potential to be toxic tonight. i've seen that written about a few games but i reckon some have just about had enough.

last home game i went was Chelsea and we were silent and rightly so they battered us and we had nothing to cheer about. if its more of the same on the pitch it'll be more of the same in the stands im afraid

Need to get on top of them tonight. Similar to the Man Utd game.

Manchester United allowed us to play. They played directly into our hands. Liverpool won’t do that.

Probably but who will most likely take up the new seats? It will mostly have to be those with fat wallets ie. retirees.

Probably the 10000 odd in line for season tickets and any current sth who fancies a move. Don’t fancy it me self, with the freezing rain blowing in across the river

Ah yes and the "There's never any tickets" crew.

Yet they're never there to fill the gaps that appear when the top 6 aren't in town.

The players need our support tonight big time.

True but let’s hope lots of people can get away on the 80th minute to get home 5.73 minutes earlier than they would if they left at ft. Or, I’d be fine with losing aslong as there’s no traffic after the match

Should be decent as night game, couple of free warm carlings, until the inevitable early goal by them. Stands will be full of armchair scousers no doubt

What are they saying?

Commenting on how it’s quiet in the ground. Speculating (probably correctly) that it’s down to apprehension given recent form + patched up back line. I don’t think they’re ‘ripping into us’ to be fair.

I've never heard commentators mention how quiet an atmosphere is this much :(

Exactly, commentators tend to over exaggerate how good the atmosphere is, so you know it must be bad at our place f they are mentioning how quiet it is.

Yeah I was perhaps a bit hyperbolic, but @purpleronnie nailed it. Normally commentators can’t wait to tell you to “listen to the fans roar”, but they’ve been quite verbal in their disbelief in how quiet it is.

And once again, the loudest chant of the night is ‘feed the scousers’

Right can we lay off our fans for a bit? Brilliant tonight.
