Atmosphere at the KP

it has the potential to be toxic tonight. i've seen that written about a few games but i reckon some have just about had enough.

 

last home game i went was Chelsea and we were silent and rightly so they battered us and we had nothing to cheer about. if its more of the same on the pitch it'll be more of the same in the stands im afraid

Manchester United allowed us to play. They played directly into our hands. Liverpool won’t do that.

The Kop is absolutely staggering. They put more effort into moaning at the ball not being inside the corner quadrant, than they do getting behind the team.

Commenting on how it’s quiet in the ground. Speculating (probably correctly) that it’s down to apprehension given recent form + patched up back line. I don’t think they’re ‘ripping into us’ to be fair.

Exactly, commentators tend to over exaggerate how good the atmosphere is, so you know it must be bad at our place f they are mentioning how quiet it is.

Yeah I was perhaps a bit hyperbolic, but @purpleronnie nailed it. Normally commentators can’t wait to tell you to “listen to the fans roar”, but they’ve been quite verbal in their disbelief in how quiet it is.
