Having 4 youth team players on the pitch was so great for this club. Too short a period to Judge Kasey Mcateer but Barnes, Thomas and KDH all have ability.

Supporting the club from the late 80s through until now, one of my pet peeves were that we didn’t produce enough. There was Joachim and Richard Smith. Heskey. Stuart Campbell and Wilson had appearances but never established themselves. Scott Oakes who was okish. Then we had Mattock and Stearmen. Sheehan and Heath who got in too but never pulled up trees. King went on to become a legend.

So we’ve not really had a rich history of consistent youth products. Especially not as much as Forest down the road. Considering we sold Chilwell for £50m, I’m hoping this new era is one filled with young talent from Leicestershire and further afield. Whose next on the conveyer belt?

False dawn. Back to losing ways against Spurs. Absolute joke.

Now I have appeased the the gods of negativity and pessimism let me say, excellent results lads. Some decent play, some nice goals, some quality moments. Ohh, and a clean sheet. That’s a good thing. Hope this builds the confidence and leads us well into your next game.

Don't forget Martin Reeves with the hair. And Jon Ashton's big throw.

Was great seeing Thomas, Barnes and KDH all down one flank. Our academy gets lots of stick but three genuine homegrown players is a cracking achievement

i hope this result has shut up the brainless donkeys that want B R out. :@

What sort of fickle fan would change their mind after one game? Do this for another 10 then I might change my mind.

ASm didn’t have a kick! Give your head a wobble

Didn't have a kick, he was by far and away their best player, tricks, flicks and pace. One point in the second half he beat four of our defenders on his own. Castagne's biigest issue is that he doesn't know what's behind him, gets sucked into the box helping the CBs and loses the man behind him. We look better wioth Ricky ar RB because he pushes forward far more and has a lot better end product when he gets in there.

I thought Newcastle’s no. 10 was amazing on the ball, great feet, fast and skinned our lot for fun. Best player out there today. We should sign him.

I said a year ago that ASM was a great fit for our club. Big, strong, good on the ball and quick. He might stay at NUFC when the big money pays him handsomely not to leave

Didn't realise we were owned by a state with a terrible human rights record or one that helps fund a war in Yemen, over the years has been a safe haven for international terrorists or gives women virtually no rights at all. I think it is you that needs to get a grip on reality.

So you think the likes of Chelsea and Man city owners are free from that sort of thing? especially Man city's owners who are just as guilty of the charges against human rights . And just how do you think Chelsea's owner got his money? a lottery win?

As good as the result is, what happened in the week was unforgivable.

you were really convinced by that performance? lol

Seriously we win by 4 goals, a clean sheet and some of you still find a reason to moan! Enjoy it for fuchs sake! If you can't enjoy a 4-0 win they maybe it's not the sport for you!

Really? I thought he was very wasteful and must be incredibly frustrating to play alongside. Just get bodies around him and he’ll turn the ball over.

Ordinarily i think ASM is very good, today I thought Newcastle had already splashed the money bags on traore

Your seriously trying to say that beating the worst side in the league makes up for the absolute shower we were subjected to in Naples? I also never said I didn’t enjoy a four nil win, did I? I’m making the point that although today was an improvement of sorts, we’re nowhere near the level we should be at. The Europa league campaign was shameful.

We played well today as a team. I like Maddison, Barnes and KDH behind Daka and think the latter now offers more danger in over all play than Vardy.
KDH is the alchemy that makes it work. His vision, running, workrate and skill lifts everyone around him.
I still think Soumare can be very good for us but he needs to show more hunger and aggression to bring out the best of his attributes. He can look lackadaisical and a bit soft in terms of willpower to go and win the ball. Surprising for a big strong man.

Ben Nelson. Featured in a number of preseason games and looked good. Has been on the bench multiple times already. Will be interesting to see if he goes out on loan or gets chances like Thomas. He’s probably already good enough to go out on loan to League One or maybe even the Championship but he’s been kept around for a reason. Might even get a debut soon given CB crisis situation.

Why?

The tottenham fans sing it about themselves?

Leave your thoughts in the politics thread mate and like minded Corbynists can respond appropriately.

Sorry if it caused you personal injury though.

.....it is offensive...!!!

How many of the supporters are Jewish that you claim, sing it amongst themselves, It is not a valid argument.

I have never been a Corbynista, you do not have to be on the left to recognize such poor judgment.

What are people going to Moan about today?

Had a headache during the game which was a massive debbie downer. My cousin had his wedding reception downtown Toronto last night and being child free for the night I drank and partied like I was 20. Throw in a lack of sleep for the past 2 nights and well, I earned this moan. Yeaaa yeaaaa yeaaaaaaaa. Lol

Much needed 3 points. Thank you and good night.

Look here after the debacle of performances and results these past few weeks we needed this win in this way! Yes the magpies are poor but we have been ever obliging to teams like this also. What I noticed was we played on the front foot the whole game. We were pressing them and winning the ball and turning it into rapid attacks. It was almost old Skool Lester counter attacking and look how effective it was. Had we played like this against Napoli we would have won easily instead of making it tough work. Hope the team takes confidence from this going forwards. Rogers must utilize this style of play from time to time. The players are engaged and it’s bloody effective. Only worry is Evans now out for god knows how long. Did I forget to mention Timmy almost scored an own goal from distance thank god kasper kept it out he deserves his clean sheet atlast. Hope his confidence is boosted too
