I've noticed when we lose we deserved it, and when we win we try to find reasons why we didn't deserve it.

Passive aggressive moaning, FoxesTalk's Rodgers out brigade are covering all bases.

They even wanted us to lose, weird fkn bunch.

Great to keep clean sheet.

Daka's awareness and selflessness is a rare trait in strikers. He is going to be a monster for us in the years to come.

His assist for madders goal is underrated. Nice deft touch for a striker

Infuriates me.

"We beat a poor side".

This can literally be applied the other way too.

Rather that than arsenal mentality. We still have issues, I’m not going to forget the last month after beating the worst team in the league. Let’s just see how we push on from here

We really don't want another Pearson in/out type situation again splitting the fan base.

We should know better.

Highlight of the game for me was Youri celebrating a throw in.

Tbh not being happy about certain situations is fully understandable, however, the extremes , kneejerk reactions and entitled tantrums without providing reasoned solutions and alternatives infuriates me.

Much much better today. The long awaited clean sheet should give the lads a big lift. Some excellent performances. Newcastle had some moments, but I never felt under any threat apart from Timmy’s back-pass >_< Some excellent play second half. I thought Thomas and KDH had very good performances. Daka looked a threat and Maddison back to his best. Props to Youri for returning with such good effect. Hopefully Evans isn’t too bad but let’s give him enough time to recover. Wilf and Cags looked good today as a pair, all be it against such poor opponents. Hopefully this is the kickstart, all be it with a tough couple of games ahead over Christmas

Look here after the debacle of performances and results these past few weeks we needed this win in this way! Yes the magpies are poor but we have been ever obliging to teams like this also. What I noticed was we played on the front foot the whole game. We were pressing them and winning the ball and turning it into rapid attacks. It was almost old Skool Lester counter attacking and look how effective it was. Had we played like this against Napoli we would have won easily instead of making it tough work. Hope the team takes confidence from this going forwards. Rogers must utilize this style of play from time to time. The players are engaged and it’s bloody effective. Only worry is Evans now out for god knows how long. Did I forget to mention Timmy almost scored an own goal from distance thank god kasper kept it out he deserves his clean sheet atlast. Hope his confidence is boosted too

Newcastle fans blaming the result on VAR is laughable lol

The closest they got to scoring against a ropey defence, missing it's best defender and with a central midfielder thrown in, was our right back nearly smashing one in from 30 yards past his own keeper.

They were so bad.

1st half was two poor quality teams slugging it out.

2nd half we just killed off a very very poor team.

Good performance  considering, but the Yids game will be a decent test.

Let's not get TOO excited about this being the kickstart to the season yet...(hope so though)

....need to take that out of your vocabulary, or at least this forum!!!

'Entitled' cack again. We all want us to win but let's be honest, we've been very poor over the last month or so. Failure to admit that will breed complacency. We've a lot to do still. Still, stick your head in the sand if you wish.

Ooooooo did I touch a nerve?

To me it's not cack, it's my opinion and I'm entitled to have one too and I stand by it.

I have never once said recent performances haven't been disappointing or frustrating.

I also do not think this one win means everything is solved, thoughI it will help our recent confidence issues. I do definitely  make allowances for our horrendous run of injuries particularly in defensive areas.

I have also not called for Brendans head nor wished for us to lose as I find both weird, ungrateful and entitled!

We weren't great. But Madders & Youri have that bit of class that makes the difference. A good win for morale and impetus. But I'm not reading too much into a comfortable victory versus a lame NUFC.

Boy is that Saint Maximam some player.

Really? I thought he was very wasteful and must be incredibly frustrating to play alongside. Just get bodies around him and he’ll turn the ball over.

Some did. I'll never want to see us lose a game no matter what I think of the manager

I have a mate who when we used to go to the pub more would ONLY moans about Leicester (yep he's a Leicester fan!). Even when we play well against a good side and win he'll moan. He'll point out some player mistake, he'll call out the manager for not bringing on a sub earlier, or leaving it a bit longer... He just likes moaning. It's as much a cathartic excercise for him and half the time it probably has little to do with Leicester or football. I wouldn't entirely mind but he's also one of those annoying fans who spend the entire match in the stands shouting abuse at our players.
