I crave a battling, up and at em, blood and thunder get in their faces performance however that is not the "philosophy" of this manager and we dont have the players to do it.

We are soft centre fancy Dan's. Always good for a classy goal but grinding out results and winding up the oppo ain't in this lot.

Love to be wrong come tomorrow night.

AFCON players are now available for this weekend

Was just checking to see if anyone else had posted about this, after reading people's comments about the Norwich game.

Hopefully will give Evans time to recover, so he'll be able to start the game after - either Watford (or with a much longer rest, Burnley), (before pulling up in the 6th minute forcing us to play either Nelson or someone else out of position ... maybe Benkovic will make the bench ... but I doubt it.)

I dont condone cheating or cheap play but as Klopp and the Liverpool fans will bitch about things regardless I'm up for it.

A Hamza dive for a penalty or a blatant handball not given would be worth it for Klopp's post match interview alone.

Yet again the fates work in Liverpool's favour. Leg breaker Morton will not be in their team, and there is nobody in our squad with the right outlook or nature to mete out justice to that nasty, snide b@s*@rd Jota. Shame.

With Chelsea to play on Sunday 2nd,Liverpool will want to get this wrapped up early and then keep ball later on.

We've got to frustrate them for as long as possible, then longer it's 0-0 the better it'll be for Leicester.

Also, after the Morton incident and the utter tripe that comes out of Klopps mouth, I'm hoping that, as a one off, the home fans get behind the side.

Gutted I can't be there, due to this virus, so beers, swearing and screaming at the tele

Think we can make it past the fifth minute before we concede?

Would happily take one of our players getting a red in this. Had enough of klopp and his ranting.

Brendan can drop the whole classiness  act and **** this lot up.

I don't want to see that as we can ill afford to lose a player for 3 games.

I would like to see that every opportunity before the game in press interviews etc is focussed on how Liverpool got away with it in the League Cup, how they always seem to get the rub of the green and put some real pressure on the ref before and during the game. Before the game I'd like to hear lots of comments on the lines of "hope the ref for this game won't let Liverpool get away with the type of tackle that has put on of our players out for 6 weeks"

This is what Klopp does time they got  taste of their own medicine.

On the pitch I want to see us get in the ref's face as well as the Liverpool players and hope the crowd  makes it a really hostile atmosphere.

I agree wholeheartedly, but there is one fundamental problem.

Who can we play at the back tomorrow?

If it’s the same four we are fooked!

I’m assuming Wilf is back?

Three things I would implore Rodgers to do in this game, put Iheanacho on the half way line when we are defending corners or set pieces as his crap wrestling technique is a penalty award awaiting…

Secondly can we have a defender (preferably a full back) on the far post when defending a corner..

And finally can someone instruct Kasper to cover the front post if he can’t be arsed to come out and challenge for the ball…

Lol at the thought of our players getting near enough to them to crock them

Have we really dropped so low that the only ambition of our fans is that we purposely injur Liverpool players?

A bit tragic really

These are scary times. Playing a fresh Liverpool team, who can probably field something close to their strongest line-up after we have taken a battering at Man City only 2 days prior combined with nearly every single defender in our squad absent with injury. Anything less than 0-9 starts sounding acceptable.

We need a miracle,

Not really. A lot are quite emotionally pent up at the moment- the team aren't playing particularly well, out of a winnable cup competition, frustrations with the manager. Then chuck in another injury to a massive player through a reckless tackle (exactly the type the same club were complaining about in the days running up to the game) and people want retribution. All of the off-field Liverpool-related stuff hasn't helped either.

Said before that after this game we can move on and it'll do us all some good.

I remember the Boxing Day fixture two years ago where they absolutely battered us physically for 90 mins.  We weren’t ever close to their level. that was the worst game I can recall for us to be exposed in this way. Like watching U16 against U11

and when they decided to shut up shop at 1-0, Milner came on and immediately scored a pen and then ran the show as they added two more

have a fear that they may do the same tomorrow - irrespective of our desire, we may simply be out run and out pressed

What makes ne angry is that when managers say too much about refs they risk a fine. What about free speech. You can criticise the PM or the Queen etc but watch out if you slag off a ref too much. Its not like bitching about your boss in public as the ref is not the Boss!

Yeah I think it will go a similar way.

This is spot on for me. I love the cries for a battling City performance with Vardy (if fit) and Hamza’s shithouseary leading from the front, but it’s far from how this team show up.

It’s difficult for this team to even considering playing in such a way, we are so weak at defending set pieces, irrespective of the selection, that we never have a base to work from.

I hope the boys put in a shift tomorrow and even give us hope of a result, but I think we’ll be well short a rested Liverpool team.
