I don't like the idea of washing off my shit in a sink

A bidet isn't a sink, it's more like a toilet. It's the most hygienic and healthy way to clean, and it's also much more environmentally friendly.

I know. I was being obtuse. I've used one before. Plenty of soap involved...

Still prefer bog paper.

add to that then having to pay to drop off certain items at the tip

Another scam - the council charging you if you want a brown bin, they then take your garden waste, make compost with it, then they sell the compost back to the public!

Insurance of most kinds, car insurance probably being the most heinous.

The extortionate council tax around where I live

Worst one for me though was when I lost my phone on contract, it was a really good Galaxy and lost it 4 months into the contract, had keep paying for the contract and handset for another 20 months and add insult to injury buy a shit phone to replace it while paying for a top of the range phone every month.

In fairness, we've used a couple of recruitment consultants who do provide an actual service and we wouldn't be without, but boy we've also seen some chancers over the years

I took out life insurance so I could get a free ps4,  never got one.

Remember when Phones4U used to say they’d give you a free play station or iPod when you took out certain contracts? Never knew anybody to bite so don’t know if that was bullshit or not, but this has just reminded me.

National Insurance.

National insurance pays for your state pension, statutory sick pay, paternity and maternity pay, and the state benefit system. I think it also goes towards the NHS, but I might be wrong. Either way it's one of the better things to spend your money on I would have thought...

It's just a money making machine for Soulsby and to feck off enough motorists!

Wouldnt mind of there was a bus or taxi within 100 meters, yet we all have to crawl along one of the busiest roads in leicester whilst one bus or taxi every 25 minutes uses one lane!

Kids shoes... even basic Clarks stuff is over £30 a pop, and they are in them for a month and start complaining about being too small. Add in wellies, football boots etc. for 3 kids, and it's a bloody fortune spent on what is now a massive collection of bags and bags of old shoes that don't fit.

Ebay used to be good for selling children's shoes and clothes, people will pay good money for kids stuff that's still in good condition.

Every time I pay my rent it's another 1/3rd of my paycheck gone which could be spent on a mortgage instead

its actually cheaper to borrow money for the deposit and pay the loan fee for that as well as the mortgage every month than it is to rent.

My wife has a thing about ebay, but it's good advice: just need to suck it up and put the time in, and probably sitting on a bit of money...

£70 charge by UPS on a 3kg parcel from Germany under the guise of VAT, customs duty and 'brokerage' - over a third of the outright cost of the goods. If you don't pay, the driver it instructed not to deliver, if you query it they are unable to offer an explanation.

I had this with an order from Germany recently. Contacted the seller (Teamshirts) and they paid the balance straight away.
