Everton fans on Twitter getting in right uproar about our request to postpone. Just because we played a side yesterday.

Have we officially requested it to be postponed?

The biggest fcuking irony is that the original game being off was a godsend from them has they double figures for injuries themselves.

Not sure why everyone wants this called off just to create congestion down the line.

We beat a premier league side yesterday who had only rested a few players. Everton are ****ing awful… I think we’d get a result even with a couple of youngsters!

We should be playing, even if we lose the league is such a mess we’re barely going to move places until everyone has had a chance to catch up!

I think we need to give ourselves the best chance of winning every game. And by delaying this game gives us that chance. There's no way we will get anything at everton with that side we put out yesterday.

Based on how previous games have been cancelled it will be off. But the fact we have no/little covid and it’s internationals and injuries it’s a bit different. Could be weeks before we play again.

Chances are we’ll all be back in here moaning in March when we are playing a league game Saturday, a cup game Tuesday, a league/europa game Thursday and a league game Sunday…

If we have 20 fit players then that’s better than now playing three times a week with nine !

Someone tells me it’s off

I am going back on that Twitter thread if it’s true. They might finally get their act together and start labelling us Tories.  lol

The replies and quote tweets are great, Everton fans crying big time

Someone tell them that the big clubs should get what they want so it definitely should be called off, then grab some popcorn.

I have no doubt we could give Everton a good go with the players we have. The problem is the fixture congestion atm. We can't be playing every 3/4 days for the next couple of weeks with the same limited set of players without risking further injury.

While it'll inevitably lead to congestion later on in the season, the risk of further injury to the few remaining players with the run of fixtures we have now surely outweighs a more conjested fixture list when more players are available....

I'd personally love to play the Toffees on their current form, but I don't want to see any of the remaining players sidelined for a long time as a result of them not getting any breaks and having to play 4 games that are all close together.

Suggests we may have at least 1 Covid case? Soumare is out with illness?

Leicester City Football Club can confirm that the Premier League fixture away to Everton on Tuesday 11 January has been postponed following a meeting of the Premier League Board.

The decision came after the Football Club confirmed that it had an insufficient number of First Team players available to fulfil the match due to COVID-19 cases, injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The fixture will now be rearranged again for a future date, with all previously purchased tickets for the game to remain valid.

The Club regrets the inconvenience this may cause for supporters of both Leicester City and Everton.

A new date for the fixture will be confirmed on LCFC.com in due course.

Not surprised.

We're going to have a pile-up at some point but I'd rather we had a decent number of fit players available.

Being in the Conference League isn't helping, really.

Because I don’t want the very few first teamers we’ve got getting injured by the Premier League idiotically rearranging the game off the back of a congested month.
