Loads of Liverpool fans were moaning on our official twitter confirmation too lol I couldn't get my head around why Liverpool fans cared when it was their rivals' game.

Ahhh old false positive FC are piping up again are they. I’m sick to the back teeth of both the Merseyside clubs at the minute mate.

For some reason they're really taking offence to us playing to the rules.

Maybe we should have had false positives like Liverpool did, managed to avoid all scrutiny for them

They're really clutching aren't they, trying to manufacture a controversy lol

@The Bear - you still didn’t reply to my point about your postponement last month

you only needed one covid case to get the game called off because you had eight injuries and a small squad

Am I wrong ??

Sorry must have missed it. We had 4 cases, plus injuries.

I'm also of the opinion that the league should have just told everyone to crack on and use the U23s if they didn't have a full first team side. I guess they thought that would advantage the bigger sides more though and would just get moaned at.

I am not sure why Everton fans/Talksport blokes are getting annoyed at us, when the real issue here is that the Premier League were the ones who wanted to reschedule for this early January date, even though it was very apparent that this was going to happen.

It’s talksports down to the very core. It’s all the they do, I used to listen to post match phone ins and they would try and start a full blown argument from every call unless the caller was calling in to confirm their bias. Just stopped, listening in the end because it’s just bollocks.

I agree with you, the league should have changed the regulations around squad depth and allowed clubs to include under 23’s in match day squads. I’m pretty annoyed we’ve had another game cancelled, just because they’ve all got to be moved somewhere else, so we could end up in this position again in a month or so.

It’s Durham. He’s not paid to provide insightful, in-depth, quality broadcasting. He, alongside many others on his station are paid to press the right buttons to get a reaction.

Adrian Durham and probably most of his colleagues couldn’t give a toss about the darts or the exposure. He’s got 4 subsequent tweets on topic (included a quoted tweet of our Fa Cup match with Forest). Don’t take no notice of what he says. It’s just an easy story for a reaction.

That is very weird behaviour from Talksport. They have obviously been told to push that agenda for some reason. Why not focus on Liverpool making up cases? Our postponement isn’t even to do with covid let alone the darts ffs!

Covid's irrelevant isn't it? If you don't have 13 outfield players (even if all players our have injuries or international callups), then the team doesn't have to play. Covid has just affected teams recently and caused fatigue and other injuries.

Yes that’s how I see it too - we need 5 back to make 13. Also - what about Bertrand? Could he be back?

Will be interesting to see if we ask for a postponement if we only have 4 back.

But we don't have to have 13 outfield players. That is only the point where a club will not be allowed to force a cancellation.

If we have 10 outfield players on Saturday and we want to play, we will. We are allowed to use youth players, but we cannot make a case for a cancellation unless we have less than 13 "seniors".

Adrian Durham is the Messi of UK radio.  He will win the 'Bellendor' every single year.  Ignore.

My guess is that if we can put out a team of senior players and had two senior outfield options off the bench, we would play the Burnley game.   We have some good u23s; they wouldn't  let the team down and it is a development opportunity.

It possibly relies on, if we are below the 13 outfield number, on the return of Thomas and Soyuncu . While a defence of Albrighton, Soyuncu,  Vestegaard/Choudhury, Thomas is not great, it would not be ridiculous.  Front 6 wise, we are probably OK and there are u23s who would slot in more comfortably.

Wasn’t the first gave with Everton cancelled because they had injuries? When we had more players available? So how is it fair to play now when we have 17 players unavailable.

Adrian Durham's aggro about the darts will just make getting the darts theme song going for Maddison even funnier. Madders will play up to it and starting doing the darts celebration more. You can absolutely guarantee that'll rattle Durham's cage and he'll be tweeting about it. Safe as houses, the guy is a plank and paid to push social media shit storms.

The funny thing is Durham used to absolutely love Maddison as well, then since he's joined us he thinks he's a chopper.

This is winding up so many people - I don't think the fixture pile up will do us any favours but I hope we just keep asking for postponements for the rustle.

EDIT: Genuine question, is this a new rule due to the pandemic or has it always existed and just never had to be used?

That Tom lad from the Forest thread talking about our non rivalry with Forest needs to ring up TalkSport and get on the blower with Adrian Durham. That shit excuse for a ginger seems to think that there is some sort of rivalry between us and Peterborough. That’s why he hates us so much because we are “local rivals”, he’s like the weird stalker who hates a girls fella because in his deluded world he thought he had a chance with her. Biggest **** going is Durham.

We have 16 senior players unavailable. Are you really saying that if Wolves had that many missing you would want to go ahead? Wolves got games off over Xmas when they had half that number missing.
