It’s not just personnel available, but recovery time.

With so many games, in a short period of time, there is a danger that we could flog the few players we have to death and risk more injuries.

We can have all the team spirit in the world, without the quality and experience we’re nothing. For example, Hamza played well today but DCL would absolute destroy him, especially in the air.

Vestergaard can surely deal with the threat in the air. Think you're underestimating Leicester and over estimating Everton. We will have quality, Tielemans, Madders, Barnes will all be playing. To say we are nothing is way off.

If possible:

Schmeichel

Castagne Hamza Vesty (:glare:) Thomas

Soumare/KDH  Youri

Lookman Maddison Barnes

Perez

Already said on the first page that no one who didn't play today will be back by Tuesday.

So Castagne, Thomas, Soumare and KDH are all out in the very unlikely event this goes ahead.

Well as i've said in another thread that's on ourselves, in hindsight (And it was something that was easy to foresee) we'd have been better off playing the Tottenham and arguably this game (Both went hand in hand so it was both or neither) when they were originally scheduled.

Our injury list has got bigger since, we've lost players to AFCON and the threat of Covid is still very much there - It didn't take a rocket scientist to think the PL would tighten the reasons for a postponement and also shoehorn the rescheduled games in asap.

Pretty much this really. Everton away in the league is not the same as a half hearted Watford in the cup.

😂 I know I know. But he can only get better plus we were talking about aerial threat. Occasionally Vester does clear the ball away with his head.

In reality it probably won’t get played.

Fear for our midfield against Allan/doucoure.

Good time to play Everton but I don't think we have the personnel to get it played

As long as Dimi deosn't score, imagine him shushing our fans in the corner after ghosting past Vestergaard.. it's going to happen, isn't it

Hows it stand now seing as none of our absentees are covid related?

The game should be on based on that, or the PL will be setting a dangerous precedent.

Isn't it the number of players you have available that matters and the reason for absence is irrelevant?

Yeah that’s how they have been doing it but pre Covid you would of never been able to call a game for because a few injuries and international call ups. You would of been told to play your youth players.

Thats my thoughts, and like you said prior, they really do set a dangerous precedent if they allow games to be called off based on injuries alone.

We have been terribly unlucky with injuries, but that can't be a free pass to call games off every week.
