We’re desperate for a CB, we’ve also seemingly lost our appetite to play games (despite our youngsters chomping at the bit and playing better than our senior pro in their preferred position).

 

We can kill two birds with one stone and make it atleast look like we’re trying here.

Why? We will be OK and want to play this, so will Burnley. Unless Burnley have Covid ripping through there should be no reason. Burnley have 3 games to rearrange plus they play Tuesday. They cannot afford to have 5 games to reschedule.

We are only ok if we get players back fit right though?

If we call this off when do we draw the line and just get on with it? We can't seem to have a match (or training sessions) without picking up injuries , plus with covid cases I struggle to see it getting better until Feb minimum.

Burnley only need a few more covid cases and it will be pulled.

I’ve just sorted my trains so I hope this goes ahead. Genuinely not arsed about results or what team we put out I just want to watch us play a game of football in the league again. Play the FA Cup team if we have to, don’t want a massive backlog.

We have a chance of getting 4 back but that would still be below 13. I can’t see what has changed since Everton. Although I agreed with the Everton postponement as we didn’t go against any rules, we can’t now decide to play just because the players have had a week to rest.

huh?? you've said it we get 4 players back.
Whilst it still falls into the rule of we can ask for postponement i don't think we will as we have a starting senior 11, for Everton we didn't.

I understand your point but I am a bit uneasy about it if we are now saying we will play because we can get a slightly stronger side out rather than using 2 youngsters.

...that would not be the case!!!

We would be playing in order to complete our fixtures. We maybe muddying the waters, by accepting to play and not meeting the required threshold of 13+1 but I would rather we went out and played and avoid the inevitable backlog down the line. 

  It maybe foolhardy, but I would like to see our club taking the lead on this.
