I think 8th is the ceiling now. Don’t think we close 10 points to Man U and then surpass them, even with games in hand. It’s very tight once you get to 7th as well, which is a bit of a sickener.

Yeah it’s a big gap now. On paper we lots of winnable fixtures left but would take a near incredible run.

Honestly I thought we played well ,lot of effort by the players tonight, but switched off  last 7 mins ,I do believe they thought they had won  so did I, tbh.

I think the players bar an absolute disaster half at Man City have been really united in recent weeks. Opposition has been tough albeit I think Spurs are weak defensively.

I thought we’d won tonight once we had that free kick. Even a long whack to stands kills another thirty seconds. Instead we stuck it straight down the middle of the pitch. So many errors in that spell it’s unreal.

I am a bit baffled by criticism of Rodgers for ‘game management’. There’s not a lot here can do that scenario. We just had no player stand up and be senior enough

Lack of a really leader in the team, someone has to get a hold of team after going 2-2 and stop the total brain fart by YT.

Kasper is not a leader, he over passionate and doesn't play with a clear head.

Sadly if Kasper hit the freekik down the side and it goes out for a throwing we probably defend the throw and it game over.

Smacks it straight down the middle!

What has happened to our game management this season! We’ve thrown away two goal leads multiple times and conceded crucial goals in injury time in two out of previous four games.

It was very good previously under Rodgers.

Yep, missing defenders is a problem but sounds like we gave it away rather than them earning it.

Thankfully I didn’t watch the match, would be even more gutted.

We can't defend - simple!!

A football match! What a sight to behold!!

First half, I thought we were pretty good.

Second half, the old Rodge-ball we’ve become accustomed to seeing I’m afraid. We did turn it on and have a good 10 minute spell, but yeah generally meh, we’ve seen this before, playing ourselves into trouble, every time.

Just clear your lines for the equaliser.

Couldn’t see a game out, again.

What was it? A case of not being up to speed, not seeing the 90+ out having not played a league match for almost a month?

We’re abit of a hybrid - we’ve won things but at the same time we’ve well overtook Tottenham in the bottling stakes.

I’m not even angry, I’m well past that point and have been for a long while as I’ve said it’s very much ‘meh, seen this before’. I’m struggling, I have no emotion when it comes to it all now.

It’s another season I just want over asap. This is at least the 3rd season in a row I and I’m sure many others have felt this way now - usually come January this happens, this time its gone on for over 12 months.

I’m done.

Respect your opinion here but I’m sorry this is nonsense. This time last year exactly we were top of the Premier League after beating Chelsea.

Even before tonights defeat 8th was our ceiling in the league....this defeat isn't sickening for what it does to our league position.....its sickening because A. Its Spurs B. Its just ****ing embarrassing 🤦

Thank f**k this didn’t happen against Forest..

Yet…

I think that loss will be it, this season is over. Just about trying to get people back from injury and not losing anymore. Soyuncu and Tielemans need to go as they aren’t any good in the “do I want to be here or not” limbo.

Wouldn’t mind Rodgers going either.

Start again next season

Didn’t deserve to win at all, but you’ve got to take these shithouse wins when you’re not getting any luck with injuries etc. Game’s done and dusted if Barnes squares it. Very very lucky they didn’t even check the handball for the equaliser.

I’m so gutted.

Piss weak mentality.
Lack of discipline.

Lack of leadership.

Would of been disappointing to only draw that game from the position we were in but to loose it is unforgivable.

Was there anything in the bergwijn incident before there goals or was a yellow the correct decision ? I’ve not seen it back

How are people laughing this off?

Its a ****ing disgrace.

Coping mechanism. With all the other depressing stuff going on in the world sometimes you just have to laugh it off

Horrible end to what was mainly a flat performance. Throughout the game we were lacking movement, quite poor in possession, slow to press and too passive. And this Spurs side is no great shakes btw. Defensively we were a shambles, we lacked energy in midfield and the two up front were bullied. Despite that a couple of moments of real quality saw us winning and then to chuck it away at the end was a disgrace. Almost unprofessional tbh - they need to come out on Sunday and put in a performance that makes up for that horror show at the end.

At the beginning I thought this was going to be a Boris Johnson rant.

We got what we deserved in the end.

Yids were all over us and we were like school kids at time.

Some decent attacking play by us at times, but we have no leader and the cags n the tank are terrible together.

Game management  was abysmal  at 2-1, it was farcical at 2-2.

What the feck was Youri doing?

It was an embarrassing  finale

A more simple ball from Youri out to the right and a punt into the Spurs box and we've got the draw or ticket in the raffle for a scruffy half chance. Trying to thread the ball through the eye of a needle when you have the security of a wardrobe behind you was suicidal. If it comes off he's a genius for seeing it and taking it on but you've got to make sure of it not gamble with those odds, if you want to gamble go wide and put one in the mix.

In general just one delayed goal kick a la Nick Pope master of the art, one "ooh stop I've got cramp", one "I'll take the throw...no actually he'll take it.....no actually someone else can take it", like every other ****** does to us and we get the point or points. I don't like it but it happens, we need to wise up, be nastier, have more leaders and analyse every frame of footage until it's hammered home how unprofessional it was. A real "never again" moment.

And if our defense is going to have such a high line at any point of a game you simply can't have Vestergaard out there, one ball and he's out of the equation every time. Soyuncu gets done for pace too but at least he's there on the shoulder fighting to the last not jogging back like a disorientated giraffe that's been hit by a stun dart.

Well done, you're still fit enough to replace Vestergaard.
