Let’s have this right, we’ve done ok so far, the shape is decent, we’ve starved Liverpool of decent opportunities. 
 

The problem is that we’ve got so many weaknesses that if the poor starts or open midfield doesn’t do for us that the set pieces will.

 

None of this changes my view that we’re headed in the wrong direction under Rodgers and the sooner he goes the better but it’s not been a bad half. Just uninspiring. And given that we’re playing one of the best sides in Europe that’s probably as much as we can expect at the moment.

We are never ever going to score playing like this so the plan here is to just not get thrashed, not to get a result.

Soumare has to start doing some good stuff again for me to have some faith. Even the basics like running with the ball he's struggling with.
