Ugh hate the 12:30pm kick offs, we never seem to do well in these and it's usually Arsenal.

 

We need to get the 3 points here and enter the run in with some momentum.

 

Would like to see Maddison start.

This Leeds team isn't going to be the train crash its been under MB, new manager bounce and a defence too, they will be a much tougher nut to crack...

 

Only  a 4-1 win l think.

I agree. This is not going to be as easy as people think. Spotlight turns on their players when this happens and I expect them to be resilient and fight hard. I expect the same of us though and I think our momentum will continue. It will be a close game and I would happily take a win at this stage by a single goal. A 1-0 win would be just fine. I hope we are very careful and sparing with our returning players. 🦊

Don't agree with the calls to not start Vardy. Does his return need managing? Absolutely. Should we be looking to capitalise on the goal, assist and visible boost his return gave to our players and fans? Absolutely. I'm hoping he starts and plays 60mins or so before we bubble wrap him for the next game.

Conference League should still be our priority surely? In order for us to finish top 6/7 we need to win more games than we do in the Conference League, put it that way.

What we have been missing are games where we smash a team early. How long has it been since we finished the business by the 80th minute, let alone 60th or halftime? Not once this year. (Heck, it was 1-1 at half time against a Danish pub team.) The best way to manage Vardy would be to take him off early, after the game is in hand. Instead we need him on the pitch for 90+ minutes, and the Liverpool game showed us what that causes. So right now, I am torn on whether to start him -- more likely to win -- or to pull him off the bench, so he is rested for Rennes.

I agree the Conference League is a priority but right now we badly need momentum as until recently we looked unlikely to mount much of a challenge in either competition. Obviously nobody can say for sure but I would be hopeful he could play 60mins or so on Saturday lunchtime and then repeat that on Thursday against Rennes. He certainly looked very mobile and fit in his cameo at Turf Moore.

We haven't blown anyone out of the water, point taken. But 60mins with Vardy is better than 30mins with Vardy providing he can still start against Rennes. If it is a major risk to start him then obviously we should protect him for the ECL games. I'd be hopeful based on Tuesday showing that he can manage starts in both with planned substitutions. We'll see what happens though.

My son has a cold (COVID negative, yippee!), and I am waiting to catch it. I am terrified of being in the stadium for this one. I have no confidence, only fear and foreboding.

Listened to Jesse Marsch interview on Sky and he comes across really well. I hate early kick offs.
